Dont be sad :'(

"W-what are you doing here Mack?"

I asked shaking.

That's when my jaws dropped and my eyes flattered wide open, "I've moved to Malibu with my parents since last week." She said.

Great news[note the sarcasm]

"Umm Max? I think I have to go home now, it's getting late. Excuse me and nice to meet you Mack, I'm Lauren By the way. Bye." Lauren said and started to walk away when I gently grabbed her wrist,

"Wait for me please. I'll walk you back home ok?" She just nodded and walked to a bench.

"That was cool to see you again Mack but I really need to go now." I said looking at the ground.

She frowned and said," Oh ok. No problem. I'll see you some other day then bye." Mack said and walked away.

I then ran to Lauren and we walked home quietly, which was kind of awkward. And we finally arrived at her front door,

"Would you like to hangout at my place tomorrow? You know just me and you?"

I shyly asked Lauren.

She looked up at me and answered, "What about your family?"

"Jody and Chloe will be at the park and my brothers are going out with their friends. So?"

She smiled at me and said, "Ok sure. I'll come."

"Cool. So see you tomorrow Laur, bye."

We quickly hugged and went into our respective houses.

We sent each other Goodnight messages and fell asleep.

~The Next Day~

(Still Max's POV)

I woke up early today and took a shower, brushed my teeth and put on my clothes.

I was wearing jean shorts, with a metal suspender on the right pocket, a black tank top and some black converses with blue laces. I quickly ate breakfast and texted Lauren, asking her if she was ready or not. She said I could come, so I made my way to her house.

Her mom welcomed me and I ran upstairs to Lauren's bedroom and knocked, and we left to go downstairs in the living room where Alex was.

"Oh no! Wait here Max, I forgot my phone upstairs I'll be back." Lauren said and with that, she rushed to her room.

"Hey bro, how are you and Lauren doing?" Alex asked me

"Umm...Good." I said looking at my feet.

"Do you like her?" he asked again.

"Yeah. Cuz she's my Bestfriend."

"No. I mean, more than friends. Do you have some feelings for her?"

"Umm...well I don't know. Maybe some little tiny mini feelings but nothing more."

"Ha! I knew it!" Alex then started jumping up and down like a total retarded.

"I'm done! Let's go." Lauren said running down the stairs.

Alex gave me a smirk and we went to my house. The situation was kinda awkward and strange. Lauren looked quite sad.

We watched Pitch Perfect and then decided to go to my room.

"Who was that...girl yesterday? At the beach?", Lauren asked, looking at her feet.

"Oh....it was Mackenzie Lintz, or Mack if you prefer, an old friend of mine. When I lived in San Francisco, she was kind of one of my best friend there." I answered.

'She also had a big crush on me' I thought to myself.

"Oh ok." Was all that Lauren said. She looked at me, and nodded telling me to say more about her.

"We were really close to each other. My..mom and her mom were high school friends, that's how we met. When my dad left and I was really sad, she was always cheering me up. A month and a half before I move here, we got a fight cuz she didn't want me to leave. After that I never talked to her but I missed her though. She's a really cool girl when you know her. It was cool to see her again yesterday." I finished with a smile and a sigh of joy.

Lauren looked even more down now. I wonder if anything go wrong?

"Laur?" She looked up at me. "What's wrong?" I asked

"It's just that, now that she's back, you don't really need me anymore..."

"What?! Why do you say that Lauren? I'll always need you and she's maybe back but that doesn't mean I'm leaving you."

I took her hands and looked into her eyes, "Laur, you're my best friend and you're actually the only one who made smile again after this terrible situation. We didn't fight only because Mack didn't want me to go, there's another reasons for why I didn't want to talk to her again."

Everything stayed silent for a minute...."Mind telling me what it was?" Lauren asked.

"...Well, the day we got that fight, she told me she....eh"

"C'mon tell me." Lauren said impatient.

"She told me she liked me,.... I then told her that I hadn't the same feelings for her but she didn't want to listen. She got so angry that she even hurt Chloe." I said clenching my fist and gritting my teeth.

I took a deep breath and continued,"She was going completely crazy and tried everything to get me to be with her until I moved here."

"Do you think she still likes you?" Lauren asked quietly. I could hear the sadness in her voice.

"I don't know. I just hope not. Let's stop talking this, would you? C'mon let's go to the kitchen and I'll make you one of my favorite desserts, come with me." I told her and grabbed her hand and ran downstairs.

I took a bowl and put, like 4, types of flavor of ice cream like; vanilla, pistachio, chocolate and caramel. And then. I added a lot of candies like gummy worms and gummy bears, m&m's and stuffs....

"LAUREN CHRISTINE CIMORELLI, COME BACK HERE!!" I yelled through the whole house.

Well what happened is that Lauren had the brilliant idea of smashing a spoonful of ice cream & whipped cream on my face, and right I'm chasing her around the house with the whipped cream in my hand.

"NO NEVER!!!" She yelled back and started laughing again.

"Ha! Gotcha!" I wrapped my arms around her. Now we were actually in the backyard.

"No! Let me go!" She said struggling in my arms.

We were both fighting, till the moment we both fell on the grass and I was on top of her, both of us breathing heavily, with my hands on both side of her waist.

We stared at each other in the eyes in an awkward silence. Her beauty was breathtaking.

I started leaning in and she did the same. When we just inches apart, BAM!

"Hahahah, revenge is sweet right!" Now Lauren's face was fully covered with whipped cream.

"Ok, ok. You got your revenge, now get your butt off of me!!" Oops. I actually forgot that by the time I was putting whipped cream on her face, I got to sit on her back.

"Sorry, my bad"

We kept the whole day playing with each other till she fell asleep on the couch. I took her bridal style to her house and laid her on her bed and laid a kiss on her forehead. She looks so cute when she's sleeping like that.
