Ruby Rose sat on the library at Beacon academy with her friends, the rest of team RWBY, team JNPR, and part of team SSSN.
They were suppose to be studying but only Pyrrha, Jaune, Ren, Weiss, and Blake were doing so. Yang and Nora were playing Remnent: the Game with Sun and Neptune, and Ruby was just staring at the book she was suppose to be reading.
She couldn't concentrate. She kept trying to get a glimpse of Jaune, however Weiss kept catching her. Since Ruby had a crush on Jaune and Weiss was the only one who knew. So every time Weiss caught Ruby staring, she would gently tap her book.
Finally, Ruby gave up and stood announcing, "I'm going for a walk." She left quickly before anyone could say anything. She decided to go to the bathroom and speed walked there. She pushed open the door and ran into someone. She tumbled back but felt strong hands grab her upper arms and steady her.
She looked at who she ran into and realized it was Penny Polindina. "Oh, hi Penny," Ruby apologized. "Sorry I ran into you."
"Salutations Ruby," Penny said, "it's quite alright."
"Right. Well see you later, Penny," Ruby said, hurrying out of the bathroom. She decided to lay down and went back to her dorm. She climbed up on her bunk and laid down.
She rested there for a while before silently drifting off to sleep.
