"yeah man i see the win already," kyle says passing the football to be across the table.
i catch it and grip my hand around the ball hard.
"it'll be a sweep hurlington players suck ass," i say passing the ball back.
"how are you and that hottie kayla," will says as kyle passes the ball to him.
"c'mon is that a joke. ya'll know that was a hit and run," luke says chuckling drinking his smoothie.
"never knew you were the type bro. i've heard you take it slow and steady on your chicks," kyle says chuckling.
"g's the making love dude," luke says laughing.
this statement triggers full out laughter through the table. i ignore them when i see the person i have been looking for all morning.
"olive." i whisper seeing her walk into the lunch room quickly with her lunch.
she passes by me not making contact.
i stumble out of the lunch bench following after her.
"YO DOLAN WHERE YOU GOING?" i hear will yell after me.
i jog to where olive is sitting and slide into her table sitting across from her.
"yo bestie," i say giving her a huge toothy smile.
she sighs and shakes her head looking down at her lunch.
she picks at her salad as she finally makes contact with me.
"i'm not hungry do you want this," she says gesturing the salad to me.
"sure," i say taking it and her fork.
i take a bite of the salad and swallow.
"i'm sorry for earlier," i say looking at her.
"it's okay, it wasn't you i was just stressing." she cracks a smirk.
i smile and take another bite.
silence takes over both of us, but a comfortable one.
i finish the salad as the bell rings.
i stand up as she does too.
she randomly hugs me tightly making me gasp in surprise.
i relax into the hug and smile.
"i love you grayson."
"i love you more."
