It's been about two weeks and I've been talking to 'Kazoo kid' non-stop. I've learned so much about her and vise versa. She's told me stories about her in grade school and I'd say this kid has had a pretty fun life. I look back on some of the messages we exchanged, smiling at the bizarre conversations.
Kazoo kid - yo yo yo its ya boooooiiiiiiii.

I shut my phone off as the car pulls to a stop. Alex puts the car into park and looks over at me, a worried expression on his face.
"Are you sure this is a good idea? I can walk you up there if you want?" Alex was talking about Valentina. I was going to meet her for the first time today. We talked for two weeks and we finally decided to meet up for a date. She asked me to meet me at her apartment, where she lives with her roommates, and Alex has done nothing but say that this whole thing was a bad idea. Mom was excited for me and Jackson is just indifferent towards everything and anything.
"I'd say you don't have to walk me but I don't believe I have a choice," I say unbuckling my seat belt and slipping my phone deep into the pocket of my black jeans.
"Alright, let's go, don't forget your hoodie and umbrella, it's raining today. Since its raining pollen will be in the air so make sure to take your allergy medicine and-"
"What are you my mom now? I'm almost 18, I think I can handle myself on a simple date, Alex." I laugh at him as we get out of his car. I don't bother to open my umbrella since Alex already has his open. I stay next to Alex as we enter the building, using the elevator, we begin to head up to the third floor.
"Are you absolutely sure you wanna do this?" Alex questions me for what seems like the 50th time today.
"Ask me one more time and I'll send you home. I already told you, if your so worried you can just meet her. She's a nice girl." I smile as the elevator stops on the third floor, we walk two doors down and we are now standing face to face with Valentina's apartment door. I look at Alex, but he only leans on the wall and nods. I ball my hand into a fist and knock on the door. We wait for a few seconds before knocking again. There is a small thud coming from inside the house before the door swings open. A girl with pale skin and sparse freckles stands in the doorway, her light auburn hair is tied into a messy bun, with loose strands framing her face.
"Hi! Are you one of Jasmine's victims?" She asks me politely, which causes Alex to raise an eyebrow. Before I can answer, a voice shouts from the apartment.
"Stop calling my dates victims! And I don't even have a date today!" The voice mumbled something else, but I couldn't hear it.
"Um actually," I started, wanting to make sure there were no more misunderstandings, "I'm here to see Valentina." The girl scrunched up her nose.
"Valentina who?" She questioned like she had never heard the name before. I went to say something, but Alex beat me to it.
"Valentina Baker. She told us she lived here, does she?" The girl only nodded slowly, before stepping out of the doorway, gesturing for us to follow her. She leads us into a large sized living room for an apartment. A TV hangs on the wall over a fake fireplace, decorated with string lights. There is a decent sized couch which is black in color, it has white tables on either side of it with a glass coffee table in front of it. A computer desk is in the far corner of the room with a girl working at the desk, and all of this is sitting on a cream colored carpet.
"Nice place.." I mumble letting my eyes wander as Alex and I sit on the couch. The girl we met before goes and knocks on one of the doors, which I can only assume is Valentina's room, then she turns to us and smiles.
"Sorry about the wait, my roommate is slow sometimes. Well, more like all the time." She sits next to me. "Hi I'm Jessica, but please call me Jess. And Ms. Afro over there," She points over to the computer desk, where a girl with dark golden brown hair, that looks like it has puffed up to its limit, sits working on her laptop. "That's Jasmine, and she literally never moves from that desk." She types furiously with music blasting in her ears. Jess throws a stuffed dog at her in attempt to catch her attention. The girl stops working and turns around in the chair.
"Oh, who are they?" Jasmine asks pointing to me and Alex. Thankfully, Alex answers her for me.
"I'm Alex and this is my sister Allison," He says first pointing to himself then me. "She's here for a date with Valentina and I wanted to make sure she's okay." Jasmine lets out a gasp, showing excitement in her face.
"Has Pissie finally got a little date?!" She says in a fairly high pitched voice.
"Ugh, what have I told you about calling me that in front of others?" A voice calls from behind the couch.
