Alexithymia
the inability to express your feelings

"It's so confusing," I complained to Willow and Aurora the following Saturday morning. "All of a sudden, I'm a blushing mess around him. It was just a kiss."

"Sounds more than a kiss if it's leaving you a blushing mess." Willow didn't take her eyes off the computer as she spoke. She's been waiting to play some new horror game all week.

"But we've had sex, and that didn't leave me feeling all blushy and shit around him." I sat up and looked at Aurora, who was laying on her stomach reading. "You're the smarty pants, what do you think this means?"

"I think it means this is why I don't believe in casual sex." She flipped the page and kept reading. "Sorely sexual relationships rarely stay sexual."

"Soph has a crush on Gabe." Willow sang. "He's so much better than Robert."

"I do not have a crush on Gabe!" I smacked the bed. "I have a crush on Robbie."

"Then why are you 'a blushing mess around with him?'" How dare she use my words against me—terrible sister.

"She has a point, Soph." Aurora looked over her shoulder at me. "And used your words to back her claim."

"Bad friend." I stuck my tongue out at her and pushed her feet off my extra pillow. "Agreeing with my terrible sister."

"Which one?" Ariel poked her head in and smirked. "And how?"

"Willow, the brat thinks I have a crush on Gabe because one kiss has me blushing." I tried burning holes into the back of Willow's head by glaring but failed.

"Okay." She nodded and stood fully in the doorway. "Well, do you like him that way?"

"No, I have a crush on Robbie." They all shared a look, one that made me doubt myself, then Ariel came into the room and sat in the yellow reading chair, Willow saved her game and turned the chair around to face me, and Aurora just sighed as she continued reading.

Why do I have the feeling my sisters are about to host an intervention with me as the guest of honor?

"Soph, you can crush on multiple people." Willow started. "After all, Aurora and I both have crushes on like ninety percent of the Riverdale cast."

"Still don't see what you see in the guys, though." Aurora glanced up at Willow. "Especially KJ Apa."

"Archie," I told Ariel before she could ask. She isn't one for TV.

"That's because you're gay." Willow rolled her eyes. "Anyway, so what if you have a crush on Robbie. You already said you don't wanna do long distance."

"Another good point by Willow." Aurora stuck a bookmark in her book and sat up. "Where was this when it came to writing essays?"

"Hidden under layers of not caring." Willow rolled her eyes. "But what if Robbie does like you and wants to date?"

"Then I'll tell him no." I turned to my other sister. "What do I do?"

"Why are you asking me?" She started laughing. "I don't have as much dating experience as them."

"Because." I groaned as the doorbell rang. "If that's one of the boys, kill me now."

"Before we go over the pros and cons of dating Gabe?" Ariel shook her head at Aurora's words. "No."

"I second that!" Willow shot her left hand up.

I furrowed my brow and pursed my lips. "Dating Gabe? I'm still trying to figure out who I have a crush on!"
