Dove watched the teacher as she handed out the homework for the weekend. And by handed out, she was using her telekinesis to pass around the papers to each of her students.
Just a regular day in Sherwood City, a populated town that was similar to Chicago.
"Remember class, your paper on your hero is due next Tuesday and-"
It was then that a spark of light appeared in the class and everyone began to chuckle slightly, knowing exactly who it was. Riri Wills, teleporting into her last class of the day. The class she had ditched, and now showed up late.
"Hey everybody!" She smiled, getting a glare from her teacher.
"Miss Wills, class is over." The teacher stated, rolling her eyes as she pressed a button. Summoning the principal to her classroom to deal with Riri.
"Oh I know, teach. I'm just here for Dovey Dove over there!" Riri pointed out Dove who was in the back of the room, who then became embarrassed and shrank into her chair.
It was then that the bell rung, dismissing all the children. Riri teleported over to Doves side, grabbing her shoulders with a smile.
"Miss Wills, you know that using powers during school hours is prohibited!" The teacher yelled, pointing her finger at the girl.
"Oh I know." Riri stated, popping the gum in her mouth with a smirk, "I just don't care."
And with that, the two students disappeared out of Jefferson High School like they had never been there in the first place. The teacher rolled her eyes and put her glasses back on, "I wish that girl would go to jail already." She mumbled.
They ended up in their usual hang out spot, the gas station on Monarch Way. Because Doves brother left school early to run the gas station, she and Riri met him there after school. Wren, Doves brother, was her ride home. Sure, she could have Riri teleport her home. But then she would risk her parents seeing, and since they specifically told Dove and Wren that they were not allowed to hang out with Riri. Hmm, wonder why?
"Hey Wren." Riri mumbled with her hands across her chest as she entered the gas station called Gilbert's Gas.
A blonde haired boy in a jumpsuit popped up from behind the counter, greasy and sweaty. Oh yeah, the gas station also had a car wash and a repair shop.
"Hey chicas." Wren smiled, removing the oil from his hands with a dirty rag. "Dove, did you put in that submission yet?"
Dove took off her backpack and put it down behind the store counter. Her eyes moving up from her toes to her brother and her friend.
