My hands brushed over my red jumpsuit once more.I knew what I had signed my self up for however I had still made it to where I was now.I knew I would be recognised but that was the least of my problems-how was I meant to face him?
Sucking up all the courage I had I forced my self to walk into the crowded venue my long hair swaying behind me.It wasn't long before a cup of liquor was placed in my perfectly manicured hand."Kadie"an all to familiar accent mumbled I turned to towards the source of sound.The smile on his face could tell a thousand words"what are doing 'ere"before I could even reply I was pulled into his hard chest I returned the gesture yet I couldn't ignore the butterflies in my stomach.
"Hey you"my Irish accent coming out thick I knew I had changed in all these years yet my voice was still the same.It Hadn't changed since I was a teen"And I came here to see you kick some ass" his laugh seemed to drain out the loud music and the all of the drunk people talking."do you want to go somewhere more private I can hardly hear you down 'ere"all I did was nod in agreement this was so weird the little boy I had grown up with and dated for most of my life was now infornt of me again.Soon we where on a balcony looking over the vegas strip the bright lights alumanating both of our faces."how are you and Dee?"I could tell my question had taken him buy surprise a nervous laugh emitted from him his large hand ran over his buzz cut"Good tanks,what about you are you Datin anyone?"in all honesty I wanted to tell him I was in a happy relationship and that I had moved on from him but I couldn't because he was the last person I was with and still is the person I'm madly in love with.
I shook my head my lips forming a pout"yes actually,I mean if you count the relationship I have my dog"I couldn't help but crack a smile by the end of my sentence his chest rumbled as a loud laugh came from him.I felt as if I was in trance as I begin to admire how handsome he had grown over the years his lips looked more fuller and plump,his complexion had evened out and his eyes still sparkled and creased at the sides when he laughed.
"What you staring at hmm"I snapped outa my daze to find him towering over my small figure his long slender fingers gripping the balconies banister his eyes where boring into mine making me avoid eye contact and watch as people wandered the streets of Vegas.I didn't even have time to answer before the doors burst open a tall brunette women walked out.
"Conor we've been looking for you"I immediately recognised her.His body language changed as he walked towards her however he didn't make any contact and I could tell me and her where both shocked her smile faltered as she looked at me"Hey I'm Dee Conor's girlfriend and you are"I watched as she wrapped an arm around Conor's bicep the rock on her ring finger glistened under all of the lights.I quickly recomposed myself and tried to ignore the ache in my heart"I'm Y/N an old friend of Conor's"I could tell by Conor's expression he was confused as to who I addressed myself as because I wasn't just Conor's old friend I was Conor's Ex-girlfriend well fiancé if you want to precise.She rolled her eyes before telling conor how he was wanted downstairs by Dana and that he should go now of course he obliged and made his way to Dana yet Dee didn't seem to move I began walking out when I felt a hand on my arm"You better stay away from conor he's mine"her Irish accent definitely had put emphasis on her threat I could feel her ring dig into my arm creating an indent"don't worry he's all yours"
Conor's POV
Once I was back downstairs I began to search for Dana it wasn't long before I found him"Dee said you wanted me"he turned around an angry look on his face he shook his head"what is your ex doing here conor"the strain in his voice made me confused why was he bothered if Kadie was here or not
"I don't know why are you so bothered anyway"
"Because I know your past with her conor you will fall for her and you can't your with Dee"I couldn't help but role my eyes I knew I still had feelings Y/N even after all these years and I knew Dana was right I couldn't hurt Dee but I couldn't let the love of my life walk away again.
As if on cue Y/N come storming past me her long hair blowing behind her I could tell by the look on her face she was upset"conor don't you dare-"i didn't even let him finish before I was hot on her heels I tugged on her tanned smooth arm making her come to a holt
"What the hel-"she stopped mid-sentence when she relised who it was I didn't give her anytime to speak before I captured her lips in a long passionate kiss my emotions pored out,she stood Froze on the spot making me pull away
"I'm letting you walk out of my life again I love you kadie"my hand lay on her cheek softly stroking it.
