?????'s POV
I am the best detective there is in the force right now. I've got this bizarre case right now. People dropping like flies, going into comas for the exact same reasons. There are few connections between all of the victim's. But the doctor I just talked to gave me my next clue. They're all gamers. But that's not a big clue. Why would someone target others just because of gaming? Yes most of the victim's are famous but some are just normal people who game as a hobby. I look through a bunch of gaming files. One catches my eye.
"Real life GTA project shut down due to real death from game.
On October 18th 2013 Rockstar started on a game that is like Virtual Reality but to the next level where people felt as though they were actually in the game when their bodies were doing nothing but relaxing. By Febuarary 10th 2015 the Rockstar was able to hire beta testers. They soon found out that if you were to die in the game. You die in real life. They tried to fix the bug but were unable to, so on March 13th 2015 the game was officially shut down.
Hm... die in the game. Die in real life. 5 of the people who were sent to the game died. Maybe they died in the game. I start doing more research on this.
"RL GTA software goes missing?!
On March 13th 2015 the game was officially shut down but on March 16th, three days later, Rockstar admits that the software and hard work put into the failed game went missing. Rockstar claims that one of the workers took it one late night after being fired and hasn't been seen since. Any other info has not been found on this situation."
I stare at this. I need to get to Rockstar studios. Once I get there I show my badge and they lead me to the CEO of the company. He smiles as I sit down. "Officer Tyler. What can I do for you?" He asks politely. "I came to ask questions about a program you shut down 2 years ago. The RL GTA game." I say. He goes pale. "What about it?" He asks. "Is it true that a worker stole all the software and stuff like that?" I ask. "Y-yes ma'am. We had a huge search but was unable to find the man who took it." He says. "Is it true that the thief was an employee?" I ask. "Yes ma'am. He was the head of the project. When the game was shut down he lost his job and well... went mad. He came in with a gun. He never injured anyone but threatened people. He took all the software and left. We never saw him again." He explains. "How come there was no police file reported?" I ask. "Well. It wasn't a real gun. As I said the man was mad. It was a water gun. He threatened to shoot people and even squirted one of the men with the water. We decided not to mess with him. We didn't know he stole the software until the next day. And by then his house was empty and there was no way to contact him." He says. "Thankyou Mr. Hamiltian. Lastly may I ask the name of this man?" I ask. "Holand Washington." He says. I nod and write that down. "Thankyou sir." I say. He nods. "Of course. But. May I ask why you're investigating this years later?" He asks. I stay silent and walk out, getting escorted by workers. I cheer when I get into the car. This is the biggest clue! Gamers! Beta testers! Angry crazy man! It all adds up! But how is he able to put them in comas. Most of the victim's were alone or with friends when this happened. Some even in public....
Vanoss' POV
Delirious and I sit at the restaurant, Grape Garden, our food is sat in front of us and I smile and start eating. "So how are things going babe?" I ask. "Great. I'm working on getting us our new house. That cafe gets me alot of money." He says. I nod. "I know right? Alot of gamers on this server go there. It's getting more business than the strip joint now." I say. He nods. "Yeah. Anyway. Do you think adoption is a thing in GTA?" He asks. I blink. Kids. Yikes. "I don't think so. This is a game for criminals. Kids aren't in it." I say. He sighs. "True." He says. I nod. He seemed so sad. He must love children. Maybe we can have some in the real world. The real world. I don't even remember what it's like. A month of staying away can do that I guess. We eat in silence for a bit. "I miss my old life." Delirious says. "You remember it?" I ask. "Yeah. For the most part. When I got here I wrote down every important memory I could think of. And I read it everyday." He says. "Anything about my life?!" I ask.
"Y-yeah. You're married to a beautiful model who's not only rich but also loves you for you.... I remember being so jealous and sad because of it. And I used Luke for grief. That's what I wish I could erase." He explains. I look at him sadly. "Babe... don't be hard on yourself. Besides. It's been a month. That girl probably moved on by now." I say. He smiles. "Maybe. But.... can you promise me something? And it's ok if you can't." He asks. "What is it?" I ask. "Will you still date me when we get to the real world?" He asks. "Of course." I say. We lean in and kiss. We part and smile at each other. "I love you." I say. "I love you too." He replies. We pay for our dinner and walk home. It was quiet now. After two weeks of training we were basically pros at the game. Most of the guys moved back into their apartments. Some got houses. Mini and Wildcat are street racers now. Basically, Nogla, and Lui are this weird three person couple and they live in Lui's mansion that he owned in his regular GTA map thing. Bryce and Ohm are in Ohm's small apartment. Moo and Terrorizer are living with some random NPC and they all own some business. And Cartoonz is still at this house. So were all the girls. We get in and see Ben resting on the couch. I sit beside her and Delirious sits on the other side of her. She opens her eye a bit and sees me before closing it. "Hey guys." She mutters. "Hey. How was work?" I ask. "Horrible. I know consol players think we're NPC's but I hate that they call me hot and shit. Some are even adults. Did game master alter my looks for players? I know I'm ok looking but not tall enough to qualify as an adult." She says. "Some women are your height." I say. "But my boobs are literally transparent." She says. I snicker and she smacks me. "Not all women have big boobs. Some are flat chested. My mom was really short and flat chested like you." Delirious explains. "You have a mom?" I ask. "Of course I do. What human doesn't?" He asks. "Tube babies." I say. He shuts up. "True. But I'm not a tube baby." He says. I shrug. "Ok. You just seemed like it." I say. He pouts. "Anyway I need some sleep. Night guys." She says. I sit back and pull Delirious into my arms. He cuddles into me. I wish there was a way to get out so that our relationship would be real. Then again in the real world I already have a wife. So I'm kind of glad I was sent to this game. But I want to get out soon. To get rid of that Sydney woman and love my Delirious. Maybe make him my husband. Maybe get some kids like he wants. It'd have to be a girl. Boys are too wild. "What is that mind thinking about this time?" Delirious asks. I smile. "Us. Marriage. Kids." I say. He smiles. "I love you." He says. "Love you too." He says.
