*Jack's POV*
Gerard was warm. Warm and soft and comfortable. So I stayed cuddled against him until Frank snuck into the living room behind and us screamed in our ears: "Cock blocked, Mr. Way! Keep away from my sister." Immediately, Gerard had let go and I scooted away, mentally cursing Frank. I glanced back over at Gerard. He was staring at his hands, cheeks flushed. I flicked Frank off and yelled to him: "Don't cock block me, you dick! Go help Mitch cock block Hayley and Mikey!" Just to make my point and be difficult, I scooted way too close to Gerard, almost on his lap, and grabbed his hand, intertwining our fingers. I stuck my tongue out at Frank, who made a face and shrugged. He skipped into the other room were I could hear him yelling out: "Hey Moikey!" I rolled my eyes and scooted a bit farther away from Gerard. "Sorry." I said softly. He shrugged. "It's okay. Want to go for a walk?" I looked up at the clock. Only seven thirty. It was getting dark, but I shrugged and smiled. "Sure. Why not?" We stood up and I yelled down the hallway to Frank's bedroom: "We're going for a walk, don't be a cock block!" I heard Mitch laugh and a loud thump, most likely Frank rolling off the bed. I squeezed Gerard's hand as we walked out the door.
*Frank's POV*
Maybe they'll get together. They'll probably be together by the end of the night. It's so obvious. Gerard has long since fallen for my sister ever since we met and I walked to school with her, telling her goodbye at the door, and then meeting Gerard. He had admitted to me that he had noticed her in the hallways. They didn't have any classes together, but he had actually tripped over his own feet while staring at her. I had cracked up and he had turned bright red and said some very unflattering words about me. Jack, of course, had never noticed and had never spoken to Gerard. The first time I had even suggested him liking her, he had furiously shaken his head, blushing like crazy. It was so obvious. I rolled off my bed and blurted out to Mitch: "You think Gerard and Jack are gonna be together by the end of the night?" Mitch blinked and said softly: "Knowing Jack, she's never acted this way around anyone. More affectionate, less shy. I've only seen her act this way a few times before. I do believe she likes him. But maybe she doesn't realize it yet. I believe tonight would be a good time to play Pair Up." He said evilly. I grinned at the mention of the game that gotten our friends Ashley Purdy and Jenna McDougall together. Mitch and I had made it up about two years ago. It was basically a very subtle way of making two people realize they need to date. It was really fun. I nodded to Mitch. "Definitely. We'll have to wait for them to get back though. Hopefully they're not too long. Now I'm excited!" I gave a little clap. Mitch snickered. Ray looked from Mitch to I and back again. I forgot he wasn't there when we invented Pair Up. I smiled at him. "You'll see, Ray. It'll be good." Ray groaned, knowing nothing good ever came out of me saying that. Mikey and Hayley were sitting on the top bunk, close enough to kiss, but obviously not, because Mitch was in the room. I watched them for a while. They were really boring. I hoped Mitch would leave to get something to eat or to use the bathroom or something soon. I want to see a make out fest, and I'm certainly not going to do it myself.
*Gerard's POV*
We walked to the park, about a block away from their apartment. We sat down in the grass, sitting close, but not romantically close. Jack faced me. "You're really awesome, Gerard." She said suddenly, surprising me. I stuttered, trying to find the right words: "U-um...t-t-thank you...I think y-you're r-r-really great, t-too..." My voice cracked near the end, making me squeeze my fingernails into my palms furiously. She smiled, either not noticing, or being too sweet to say anything. She grabbed my hand and started rubbing it until the tense feeling in my fingers went away and I stopped jabbing my fingernails into my palms. I hadn't really noticed how hard I was pressing, but I saw little red marks appearing on my hand. Jack softly gripped my hand, not letting go from when she was rubbing it. I felt my cheeks flush and I started to feel a little flustered. The girl that I had gaped at from across the hall, the girl that had made me trip over my own feet and stutter in embarrassment, was holding my hand. The moon was rising. The stars were starting to shine in the sky and we both just sat in silence, watching the lit up sky. Finally, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to face Jack, who was blushing some furious. I cocked my head in confusion. "Something wrong, Jack?" She murmured something that I couldn't hear. "Can you repeat that? Sorry, I couldn't hear you." I said sheepishly. Jack looked down and said very quickly: "IsThisADateBecauseIReallyDon'tKnowI'mSoSorryI'mRambling." I gaped at her. "U-uh, do y-you want t-t-this to be a d-date?" I stuttered softly. She smiled softly and kissed my cheek. She whispered softly: "I don't know." I watched her as she stood up, offering her hand to me. I took it, standing up. She didn't let go of my hand as we headed back to their apartment.
