When I got home I told Charlie I wasn't hungry and walked towards the living room where he had started watching a basketball game. I took out my phone and plugged in earphones as I sat curled into a ball on the sofa as he sat in his worn out la-z boy. I listened to harsh, loud music, the kind that usually made my head hurt but I listened to it anyway.
The music did its purpose of not letting me think and I enjoyed it. I rested my head against the sofa's armrest and closed my eyes.
By the time I had opened them it was dead at night. Something about the eerie feeling I felt heavy on my chest made me realize I was dreaming. There was fluorescent green light coming off of the forest. I could hear the crashing of ocean waves nearby and a light blue-lilac colored light forming in a deep dark part of the forest I couldn't reach.
I followed the sounds of the ocean waves and before I could come out completely into the rocky beach I found Jacob Black, he looked panicked and pulled me into the beach put I had seen the little driftwood fire again, inside the forest, closer this time.
"What's wrong, Jacob?"
He pulled me in again, grabbing my hand with both his hands, "Run, Frankie. We have to run."
"Come on, Franks!" Mike Newton said in the same state of panick Jacob was in.
Jacob let go of my hand, though, letting out gasp of terror, I stared at him in horro.
"What's wrong Jacob?" I asked, "Oh my god!" I screamed as he was gone and in his place appeared instead a giant wolf, the back of his hair stood in anger.
I could vivdly feel the low growls coming off his chest between his exposed fangs. I felt weak, faint.
And then Edward came out from behind me, from the forest. His eyes were dangerously black and he extended his hand for me to take it.
I took a step forward, toward Edward. He smiled then, and his teeth were sharp, pointed.
"Trust me," he purred.
I took another step.
The wolf launched himself across the space between me and the vampire, fangs aiming for the jugular.
"No!" I screamed, wrenching upright.
I realized I was still on the couch, a blanket around me.
The thud of my phone against the floor distracted me and I looked down in a frown, hoping I hadn't cracker the screen.
I had.
I got up, angry at myself and walked upstairs towards my room.
I changed from the jeans to pajama pants and took my hair out of the french braid.
I laid on the bed and tried to find sleep again but it was useless so I turned to my paint bag and got out the watercolors, a kind of paint I wasn't truly fond of but the dim lilac light was stuck in my mind, along with the green light coming off the forest.
I tried my hardest to not impulsively draw the drastic dangerous black of Edward Cullen's eyes.
As I found myself the need to stop painting so the wet surface of the canvas would dry, I got up to shower.
The shower didn't last nearly as long as I hoped it would, though. Even taking the time to blow-dry my hair, I was soon out of things to do in the bathroom. Wrapped in a towel, I crossed back to my room. I couldn't tell if Charlie was still asleep, or if he had already left. I went to look out my window, and the cruiser was gone. Fishing again.
I dressed slowly in my most comfy sweats and then made my bed, something I never did. I couldn't put it off any longer.
