Roommate: An EXO Park Chanyeol Fanfic

{11} Change

Jiyeon woke up in her bed, the sun shining bright in her eyes. All she recalled from last night was crying with Chanyeol... That's a bit embarrassing. Even today, she felt terrible and depressed. A little more anger though.

Jiyeon got up and got ready (barely, she looks like a tornado). And went downstairs.

"Good morning Jiyeon!" Sungwoo greeted her happily. "I'm cooking some breakfast, you want some?"

"No thanks." Was all that Jiyeon said. She left the house without saying another word.

She still had to practice. She needed to get better. Plus, she needed to talk to everyone about yesterday. Recalling the moments from yesterday just made her feel even worse. Today, Jiyeon walked so she didn't have to bother Chanyeol.

She got into the dance studio and everyone greeted her. The three other girls, just like her, looked depressed other than the fake smiles they put on for Jiyeon.

All of them sat down and talked with their staff.

"What's going to happen now?" Jiyeon asked.

"What's going to happen now? We continue. We're going to put you on shows, promote you everywhere. Nothing has changed, you four. An obstacle has occurred, but nothing will change, got it?" The manager patted their heads. "You girls got this."

Hearing that from their manager gave them a little hope. Soon enough, they were back on their feet, practicing, regardless of the remaining heavy feeling in their hearts.

After practice

Jiyeon walked home by herself again after practice. She was scrolling through her Instagram when she stopped and saw the comments left on her posts.

"That bitch."

"She's ugly."

"She's so close to Chanyeol-oppa, he even pitied her and reposted iDoll. What a sad girl."

Several hate comments were left on her page and Jiyeon sighed in frustration. Then she saw something else.

Jiyeon scoffed. She didn't need his help. She would get through this all by herself without EXO. Seeing that Chanyeol promoted her with his popularity made her a little angry.

Jiyeon stepped inside the house when Dongwook opened the door for her.

"Welcome back!!"

Jiyeon gave a lifeless bow and went upstairs. Everything was bothering her. How the roommates are acting more nice to her because they pitied her. She didn't need to be pitied.

Jiyeon laid on her bed playing on her phone when Chanyeol came in.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah." Jiyeon replied depressingly.

"Do you want to talk?"

"No. I don't need to talk." Jiyeon paused for a second. "Why did you promote me on your Instagram?"

"I wanted to help. As much as I could."

"We don't need your help, Chanyeol. We won't feed off of exo's popularity. I don't need you to pity us!!!" She said coldly.

Chanyeol looked at her speechlessly. "I just wanted to help. But if you don't need my help I will delete it." He got up in silence and exited the room.

Jiyeon wondered why she yelled at him. She felt guilty, but her thoughts started swarming around again. Maybe she should give up.

That night, Jiyeon skipped dinner again because she didn't feel like it. Multiple people came up to visit her, except for Chanyeol. She sighed and longed for him to hug her again.

The next 3 days

The last 3 days continued just the same as the last. Jiyeon waking up early, coming home even later after training. She lost screentime on Roommate because of how tired she was and how over-exhausted she was. Jiyeon wanted to work harder so that everything would return back to normal.

After practice

Jiyeon got home at 4 a.m. and went upstairs. She bumped into Chanyeol on the way up. Just her luck. The two haven't talked in days. "Sorry."

Chanyeol looked at her. Man, she was a mess. Giant bags under her eyes, and she got skinnier from not eating as much.

Jiyeon suddenly felt dizzy and tired. She wobbled a little and Chanyeol caught her.

"I-I'm fine."

"Go eat." He said.

"I said I'm fine!!!" Jiyeon whacked Chanyeol's arms that were holding onto her.

"Jiyeon, please! I'm trying to help."

"You're trying, you're trying!! It won't help!! You can't help me out of the struggle and pain!" Jiyeon yelled. "It hurts so much-that I could die."

Chanyeol slammed his palms against the wall, trapping her between his arms. "Jiyeon." He went close to her face. "Do you know-how heartbreaking for me to see you like this? I want to help. That's all I can say. I don't know what to do. I just want our happy Jiyeon back. I will do anything. I know the pain you're in right now. The pain of being lonely, being hurt, regret. We will never stop supporting you Jiyeon. I will never stop. This isn't the end. I want you to know you that. It'll be worth it in the end."

Jiyeon couldn't help but let a tear slip out of her eye. "It hurts so much Chanyeol. It hurts so much."

Chanyeol pulled her into his arms and hugged her tight. "I know it is. I'm sorry. I wish I could take it all away."

Jiyeon cried again. "I'm sorry for being like this. I'm sorry for yelling at you. Thank you, for everything you've done."

"It's okay. I understand."

Phewwww now that we've gotten most of the drama out of the way, #jiyeol have gotten a lot closer. It'll stop being very serious from now on a little. Also you guys I'm im gonna shorten the chapters because the fact that it's like 1000 words makes my cringe so badly. Maybe that's why I'm not getting views...
