Roommate: An EXO Park Chanyeol Fanfic

{7} Debut Day Pt. 1

It has been a week or so ever since the roommates moved in. And today was the day that Jiyeon's debut music video came out.

She got home at around 11 p.m. after filming an album and music video showcase, that would be released at 12 a.m, in an hour. Prior to the showcase would be the music video and album, to be released at 12:30.

Jiyeon yawned and got up to the second floor. To her surprise, all the roommates were upstairs waiting for her in the living room.

"Welcome back Jiyeon!!" Dongwook said.

"We brought you a cake for your debut~" Seho presented the cake to Jiyeon. It was beautiful.

"Come here! Lets celebrate your big day!!!" Chanyeol said as he scooted aside for Jiyeon to sit next to him. Jiyeon sat down, while Minwoo lit the candles on the cake.

It was Jiyeon's turn to make a wish and blow out the candles. Afterwards they all cheered happily.

"You can reveal stuff to us about your debut now right?" Chanyeol asked excitedly. "I've been dying to hear."

"Me too!"

"Tell us, tell us!" Everyone cheered.

"Okay! Alright, I'll tell you guys a little bit and then at 12 we can watch the showcase and music video together!" Jiyeon exclaimed.

"So first of all, we are iDoll! It sounds like idol, but with 'doll'. It's a kinda play on words, ya know?"

All of them nodded eagerly.

"We have four members, including me! From oldest to youngest:
Me, Kim Yeseul, Liu Ai, Kim Sooyung."

"Liu Ai doesn't sound Korean"

"Ai is actually from China!"

"What are your roles?"

"I am the main vocalist and visual. Yeseul is the main dancer and lead vocal. Ai is the main rapper, and Sooyung is the lead dancer."

"Wowww!!"

"Our song is called 'Prejudice', it means judging someone right away by first impression. Our concept is cute, yet charismatic and cool. We're dolls in our music video!"

"I can't wait to see!" Soohyun said.

"I really want to meet Jiyeon's members too, you should invite them over sometime." Sora said.

"Yup! They really want to come on this show." Jiyeon replied. "It's time the debut showcase aired!!" She put up the video on the big screen TV.

All the roommates amusingly watched it, cheering and laughing at the funny parts. The most funny part for them was how nervous their little Jiyeon was, who kept stumbling over words while being the MC.

"Jiyeon you keep drinking water!!" Kangjoon laughed.

"It was really really nervous, they had to stop recording every ten minutes for so because I was sweating so much..." Jiyeon said in embarrassment.

"Don't worry you still did great, you talk a lot Jiyeon!"

Everyone found Ai's mess up in Korean words also funny. She must've messed up around 10 times in this show.

Soon the video finished, and the roommates started to understand the four girls much better.

"I think Yeseul is the mature one out of all of you guys." Gayeon said.

"Definitely." Jiyeon said.

"Chanyeol, who is your favorite member?" Seho suddenly asked him.

"Why me??" Chanyeol asked. He did the thing where he took off his cap, smoothed his hair back, and put his cap on again. "My favorite is Jiyeonie~"

All the roommates cheered.

"We totallyyy didn't see that coming." Soohyun said.

"I don't even know why you asked Seho" Sungwoo laughed.

Jiyeon laughed nervously and playfully hit Chanyeol in the shoulder. "You see, Chanyeol really likes me."

"Chanyeol really likes Jiyeon." Dongwook said. "I sometimes see him just staring at her"

Chanyeol's ears turned red. "Hey! It's not like that!!"

"Okay! 10 seconds of staring at each other!" Seho held up a board between them. "Three, two, one!" He put the board down and Chanyeol and Jiyeon looked in each other's eyes.

The two started to laugh in the middle of it. Jiyeon's face and Chanyeol's ears were turning red in embarrassment.

"Hey! Ten is too long I can't take this!!" Jiyeon said.

"...5"

"...4"

"...3"

"...3" Seho kept counting 3 over and over again

Chanyeol suddenly went closer to Jiyeon's face til they were about a centimeter away.

Jiyeon's face got bright red when she saw his eyes flicker a little to her lips.

"OOHHHHH!!!" All the roommates went wild. "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"

"...2"

"...2"

"...1!!"

Jiyeon broke the eye contact and buried her face in her hands. Her face was about to explode.

Chanyeol's ears were also a bit red and he laughed nervously.

"Daebak...Chanyeol is so bold!!" Minwoo said.

Chanyeol smirked proudly. He patted Jiyeon's head "I was just playing around Jiyeonie~"

"No you weren't!" Nana laughed.

"That's right, it looked completely real to me." Soohyun said.

Now it was Chanyeol's turn to be embarrassed.

"Aigoo...my heart my heart..." Jiyeon grabbed her heart dramatically. But jokes aside, her heart felt like it was gonna beat its way out of her chest.
