Chapter Twelve

Jae bought the tickets and we entered hand in hand, we started off by touring the different rooms.

It was such a big place with its paintings of the planets gracing the walls and information plates right next to them.

I was really amazed I kept dragging Jae everywhere just to see everything and not miss a single thing, I wish I brought a camera.

When we finished touring Jae brought me to the room with the big telescope it's actually ginormous. I was shaking in excitement can't wait to get our turn, but Jae told me to wait until it's 9pm so we can see the planets more clearly.

While waiting we played few games on my phone and his I didn't see any texts nor calls from my parents. I guess they don't care.

Putting my phone aside because it died, asked Jae when we will we see the stars he replied with now since the clock hit 9. He first let me check out whatever I want I really kept roaming the sling with my gaze curious since I never had the chance to do so.

"Look it's the full moon it's so pretty" I said in awe.

"Actually it's not the full moon, it's the waning gibbous moon and see over there" Jae said moving it a bit.

"You can see Jupiter and Spica the brightest star in the constellation of Virgo" he backed up to let me see and I did let me tell you the sky is extremely pretty.

"And moving your sight a bit you can see an Algol which is known not formally as the Demon star, it's a bright multiple star in the constellation of Perseus"

How does he know all that? Is it normal to know all this and I'm just here being a potato?

Jae kept on explaining stuff as showing me it we were so engrossed with the stuff we're seeing that we forgot about time, it passed so quickly.

Upon checking the clock it was 11 pm and that made me gasp so I nudged Jae and showed him the clock on the wall, he realized what I was trying to show him and both ran out of the observatory.

Arriving at the station we boarded the train and waited. I was anxious I felt a pile fill up the top of my throat.

Jae was trying to sooth me and apologizing for making me this late hoping that I won't get into trouble.

I dashed off the train to quickly arrive home, only waving goodbye in Jae's direction. When I got to my house it was 12, opening the door I saw a fuming dad tapping his leg and a worried mother sitting on the couch playing with her hair.

I walked in head hung low waiting for my demise. My parents when they heard the door shouting stood up to face me.

"Why are you this late?"my mother asked.

"I did leave you a note saying I was gonna be late" I said looking up to meet her gaze.

"You did but not to this hour" my mom said waving the note I left.

I didn't say a word after that because that ticked my father and made him extremely resulting in hitting and pulling my hair. I screamed in agony, I knew this was going to happen.

My mom stepped in between us too teared eyed and stopped my dad saying "That's it Daniel we are telling her, you can't keep treating her like this I told you millions of times it's not her fault, they aren't the same person!"

Dad went up the stairs to his room and slammed the door, I looked at mom with a betrayed look and did the same to my room.

What did they hide? Who is this person? Why do I feel so betrayed....

I put my phone in the charger, and went inside the Bathroom for a shower, a cold one and it relieved my pains when I came out I found my that mother was sitting on my bed waiting for me when she saw me, she said

"Hey baby girl, I'm so sorry for you fathers actions, he is a man with a big heart and he loves you so much but his way of showing his worry is completely wrong, he is afraid that you might turn out like your aunt the dead one"

I sat absorbing all this new information looking at my mother with eagerness to know more.

"I talked to your father and your aunt and we're going next weak to Spain to visit her there she'll tell you about everything"

After she said those words we stayed silent for a bit then I rose from the bed and told her "Okay I'll cancel everything I have next week"

I held my phone in my hand and informed Amelia about this Jae too and my voluntary work place. My mom walked out of the room while I was texting away.

When Jae got the text he called and I explained everything and telling him it's not his fault, we chatted away he really calmed my nerves with his voice and sweet words after that we hung up.

When I hung up Amelia also called she asked if was okay or if I need anything I told her no but she kept talking and talking and I just kept listening.

After she hung up I looked at the ceiling unable to sleep at all I think I drifted into sleep at 4 am.
