Epilogue

10 years later

Meeray's POV:

I was at home decorating the house with Christmas lights and setting the table along with Amelia, we were both waiting for Jae and Kai to bring the kids and for both our families to come.

I planned a big party for Christmas for everyone to enjoy, we started doing this party every year after me Jae married six years ago.

We married at a young age, I know but that didn't matter to me because I loved him and he loved me, but there were some difficulties since someone didn't want us to marry aka 'dad'

It wasn't the same for Amelia and Kai both took some time to confess their feelings and married 3 years ago but they have cutest little girl who cannot spell my name correctly no matter what we do.

My train of thoughts was broken off by Amelia "Meeray where do you want me to put the kid's table? Next to us or do you want them to sit on the big table with us"

"No put a little table for them, remember last year? The mashed potatoes I found stuck under the table a week later, those sneaky little kids"

Amelia chuckled and prepared the table, I went inside the kitchen to check the food, I checked the oven for the roasted turkey and the big pot for the soup.

I got my phone and called my elderly neighbor to come, we invite her almost everyday to come to eat with us since she lives alone and all of her family lives far.
Plus the kids love her! She's really sweet and loves children.

"Mommy, mommy look what dad bought us" my three year old Mia said running to show me her new stuffed animal, remind me to kill Jae after the party, this is the 74th stuffed animal he bought, and yes I counted them because he spoils her too much.

"Oh what a cute bird it is look at the colored feathers" I said crouching down to pick her up.

I walked into the living room and sat her on the couch, my two other boys came to show me their toys. The oldest Mason got a big tractor and the the second oldest Jayden got a new action figure to play with.

"Hey baby" Jae said kissing me, he tried to hug me but I pinched him.

"What did I say about stuffed toys?!" I whisper yelled.

"Not to buy more" he said scratching his head.
My sight caught Aubrey in Amelia's arms I went ahead and her little head and pinched those chubby cheeks.

I went to the kitchen again glaring at Jae, he wrote a heart with his hands so I couldn't help but crack a little smile.

After 30 minutes everyone had arrived even my little cousin Nicholas, although he's not little anymore, he's still that way in my heart.

"Eat up everyone there's enough for all" I kept going back forth to bring dishes and whatever was needed, I was so busy that Jae sat me on his lap and began to feed me.

I blushed and the kids started laughing at me, I grabbed a chair from the kitchen and sat between Jae and my mom.

After the big feast we sat in the living room chatting and exchanging gifts, at the end of the night Amelia and Kai stood up and announced that they're having their second child, my eyes lit up with happiness and worry because I made her work today.

Playing with the kids and preparing the food made me exhausted, I made myself comfortable in Jae's arms.

I felt my eyes close slowly and drifted into darkness feeling content, but then I woke up remembering that I could never leave the kitchen for Jae to clean, last time it was disastrous.

"Thinking about the kitchen accident again?" He said wiggling his eyebrows.

"Yes and it hurts" I said laughing.

Oh how humorous life is...
