Imogen's POV;

The speakers buzzed with the landing announcement and. I poked Sam in the face.

'Pssst!' I hissed.

No answer.

'Sam!' I whispered loudly, poking his cheek again.

'Go away' He moaned, eyes still closed. He still managed to smile cheekily though, his braces peeking through. He was so cute I could cry. He had astonishing bright blue eyes, aww.

'C'mon Sam, wake up! we'll be landing soon!'

'Ugh fine' he said smiling. Seriously too cute. he opened his eyes and sat up.

'By the way, I saw that picture you got of me earlier' He chuckled.

I blushed hard.

'It's okay, with my good looks everyone tries to sneak one' he laughs. I look at him in a serious face and he stops and looks at me.

'I was kidding! You're the first one actually' He laughs again and this time I join him.

'So um, when am I going to get your number?' He says and I try and force myself to stop smiling, and I fail.

'Oh we'll it's-' I say my number and he writes it down.

One final warning goes on before we descend towards the earth. My earths start 'popping' and I hold them. It's worse than when the plane took off. They really hurt and by really hurt I mean really hurt. Sam looks at me.

'Imogen? Are you okay...?' He says.

'I'm fine' I say, squeezing my eyes closed. I was sure that it wasn't supposed to hurt this much, were they?

I take my hand away from my ear... blood? Blood was coming out of one of my ears.

'Imogen...' Sam said softly.

'It's okay... I'm fine' I breathe out.

A flight attendant was nearby as we landed completely and she took my to the first aid room at the airport. She didn't even bother to tell Robyn. But Sam came with me. The first aid doctor explain to me what had happened.

'Looks like Barotrauma. Barotrauma refers to injuries caused by air or water pressure. In this case, air pressure. It is quite common, but bleeding from the ear is usually quite rare. The ear can fill with clear fluid as the body tries to equalize the pressure on both sides of the eardrum. This fluid is drawn out of the blood vessels in the lining of the inner ear, and can only drain if the Eustachian tube is open. Fluid behind the eardrum is called serious otitis media. It can create pain and hearing difficulty similar to a middle ear infection' The doctor explained and pointed to a diagram on his blackboard thing.

I looked over at Sam.

'I texted Chandler and he said he's with your friend Robyn? He said they're on their way' He nodded at me and I looked back over at the Doctor.

He turned back to me and said,

'The eardrum can rupture in severe cases of ear barotrauma, causing bleeding, or leaking of fluid from the ear. A ruptured eardrum can result in hearing loss. In severe cases, you may go death, or/and need immediate surgery. I'll be back in a minute with an X-ray machine' He walked.

'God dammit' I laughed nervously. I grabbed a pamphlet on it and read that it mostly happens when the plane is descending. I turn and look at the door as I hear Robyn say my name. She runs over to me and grabs my hand, sitting on the chair next to me whereas Chandler stands leaning against the glass wall with Sam.

'You guys can leave if you like, I don't want to keep you here. Thank you so so so much for everything Sam' I say greatfully.

'No, it's okay, we'll wait' Chandler says and Sam nods in agreement. The doctor returns with the machine.
