Chapter Eleven

Everything had been going so well. Nathan and I had been together 4 months now and no one knew anything! We managed to keep things all secretive and not have anyone know we were together. Well, except our parents, Stacy and the rest of the lads. I didn’t know how to tell Jorgia. I knew I had to, I just didn’t know how.

College, AGAIN! God, will this ever end? Me, Stacy and Jorgia were sitting all together, in a row, on the one side of the tables, Olivia and her little group of friends were sitting opposite, and the other lot (they’re called the other lot ‘cause they’re aren’t “Cool” like Olivia or Wanted fans like us three) were at the top. Olivia kept on whispering and looking over to me. I had no clue what she was saying. But when she saw me looking, she looked back down to her work. The tutor was rambling on about how customer service in a business was important and that it….SNORE! Whatever! Like you care. Anyway….

My phone had been sitting quietly on the table for the past 3 hours. And yes of course, it took that quiet moment when the tutor was speaking to buzz and start singing The Wanted Glad You Came….Everyone stared at me. Jorgia and Stacy just giggled.

Our tutor looked at me with the disappointed/annoyed face.

“Sorry” I smiled sweetly and picked it up, ready to hang up…but it was Jayne? “Do you mind if I take this? It’s to do with a job” I lied.

“OK, but be quick” she said as I ran out the door and answered it

“Hello?”

“Hi Tiff. There’s another photo of you in this week’s OK! Magazine. It shows you with the lads at a restaurant with Kelsey, Michelle and Nareesha” Jayne said, jumping straight into it

“Oh” I was shocked. 4 months and nothing. Now this? What to do, what to do….Luckily, Jayne had the answer

“You and Kelsey knew each other growing up and just got back in contact”

“Erm…-“

“That’s it then. OK, just needed to let you know. I’ll see you at the weekend” the phone went dead.

I had to lie. How was I meant to carry this on? How did I know Kelsey again? Or was it Michelle? I’m already lost and confused. I walked back in to class and sat back down quietly.

“What job?” Jorgia whispered

“I’ll tell you later” I whispered back. I didn’t know what to do. I can’t lie to Jorgia.

During lunch, I sat with Jorgia and Stacy as Olivia and her friend Rachel came over.

“I knew it was you that snogged Nathan. See, you know them!” Olivia said, throwing the magazine in front of me. I looked at the article where I was sat next to Nathan and we were rather close

“Only through Kelsey” Oh dear God, please let that be the one Jayne said, “I knew her ages ago. We just got back in contact. I didn’t know she was with Tom”

“Oh please, you’re one of The Wanteds biggest fans. Of course you knew” Rachel piped up

“I knew Tom was dating a Kelsey but I didn’t think it was my Kelsey” and breathe Tiffany, it’s going OK

“You know Kelsey!? You met The Wanted!?” Jorgia shouted at me, shocked. I flipped my head to her. She looked so hurt,

“I didn’t know how to tell people. I mean, how would you?” I tried defending myself,

“I would of told you” Jorgia got up and walked away

“Jay!” I shouted after her but she didn’t listen, “Was that it?” I asked Olivia

“That was it” She smirked and walked off, followed by Rachel

“You haven’t told Jorgia!?!” Stacy half shouted, half whispered to me, “And you lie! Why not just come out that you and Nathan are together?”

“I didn’t know how to tell her. I have to lie. I cant tell people I’m with him” I whispered back

“Why not? What’s the worst that could happen?”,

I sighed and walked off. She didn’t understand. She saw it as this AMAZING thing. I was dating Nathan from The Wanted, one of the biggest boy bands of the moment! That’s all Stacy saw. She saw it as a way to get famous, a way to get my name out there.

I don’t want that. I want to hide in a hole and stay there, with Nathan and my little boy of course. I didn’t want my whole life in papers. I didn’t want the world to know who I am. If people knew, bye-bye normal college life, hello gossip and rumours.
