Camila's POV

"On your six!" I heard Anna yell from behind me.

Turning, I fired a shot taking down the offender and continuing to run with my group.

We had been sent out on a mission two weeks ago and have gotten trapped in a small village.

"Fuck, we have to get out of here." I yelled over the sounds of gunfire.

I ducked behind a car that was wrecked and on fire.

"How?" Anna yelled back.

Looking around, I see a building off to the right that looked to be empty. "We go there and call for backup!" I yelled to her, pointing at the building.

Anna nodded. She crept out from behind an old lorry before being shot at.

Jumping up, I fire some shots before we make a run for it.

Everyone managed to make it into the building, closing the doors.

"Mendes, Lynch guard the front. Payne, Miller the back." I yelled out, before dropping to the ground and pulling my bag off my shoulder. "Kendrick, we have to call the base."

She nodded, helping me dig around my now open bag for the walkie-talkie.

"Got it," I pulled the walkie-talkie from the bag and pressed the talk button. "Foxtrot to base, I repeat Foxtrot to base."

"Base here. Foxtrot position?" Lieutenant Timberlake's voice came through the walkie-talkie.

Giving our location, I looked up toward the door when I heard screams in a different language.

"Payne, what's going on up there!?" I yelled out.

"Nothing, we've got it covered." He yelled back.

I then heard a round of gunfire.

"Lieutenant, we're pinned down in a house. Please send help." I yelled into the walkie-talkie.

"Help is on the way." He said.

The sound of the gunfire was getting louder and louder and coming from all directions. It was causing my ears to ring.

Taking a deep breath, I dropped the walkie-talkie into the bag. "Anna go help them at the back, fuck where's Frey?" I yelled over the gunfire, looking around and only seeing five members of my team.

Anna shrugged, she got up and ran to the back door.

Footsteps came running down the stairs and I immediately aimed my gun.

"Don't shoot! It's me!" CeCe yelled out, "I was shooting from the roof."

Letting out a relieved sigh, I looked around. "We've gotta keep them from getting in. Frey, let's go back to the roof."

She nodded and we walked back up the stairs to the roof.

"Fuck, Frey, we gotta clear a path." I yelled over the gunfire, looking down at the men and women shooting at the building.

Lifting my rifle, I began firing, getting as many headshots as possible, the others only enough to wound the enemy.

I found myself thinking about Lauren and Normani. I wondered what they'd think about me killing people.

"You said Lauren was graduating soon?" CeCe yelled over the fire as she shot at the enemy.

"Reloading!" Dropping down, I reloaded my rifle before popping back up. "Three weeks! Can't believe it's already been close to a year."
