Why me? ( Dan Howell Fan fiction)

Chapter 10

Demi's POV

I was sat outside in the back garden with my old guitar. To be honest I have no idea why I have it I just do. I saw it in my room and remembered all the laughs me and my brother would have messing about with it and singing like dying cats. One time I was so sick of revising for my GCSEs I started strumming and singing along to hey soul sister by train and my Dad yelled up the stairs "I thought you were meant to be revising not strangling cats." I couldn't stop laughing for a good 5 minutes. 

I was strumming random chords that kind of went well together when I heard the door shut. "So this is where you've been hiding." Dan said as he walked up to me. He was smiling as he sat next to me.

"Well I wouldn't call it hiding but yeah." I said this while putting my guitar on the ground next to me.

"How come your out here, and I didn't know you could play the guitar." He said this with a curious smile on his face and I just laughed a little.

"Just wanted to have some time alone outside is all, and there's a lot about me you don't know." I said this with a cheeky smile which made him laugh a little bit.

"Well then I think I need to get to know you a bit better then!" He said this with the most adorable smile which I couldn't help but giggle at.

"Well what would you like to know?" I asked with a tonne of curiosity. Normal people would say a hint but for me that would be an understatement.

"How about how long have you been able to play guitar and do you have any other hidden talents like singing?" He asked with a smile.

"Well I've been able to play since I was about 4, my dad thought I should have something while we were traveling that would keep us all entertained and my singing sounds like cats being strangled. But I can play drums. OH and I'm amazing at the cazoo." I said this trying to contain my laughter but I failed at the end. He ended just looking at me like I was mad.

"Well I have to hear your cazoo playing someday then!" He also tried to keep a straight face but like me he failed miserably

"Yeah you do, I mean I don't want to toot my on trumpet but... toot toot toot." I said this with a little giggle at the end and this lead to us laughing for a good 5 minutes.

"So I was thinking about just walking around the little woodland area thingy, and I was wondering if you wanted to come along with me?" I asked this with a small giggle and smile

"Yeah, but I think I'll go tell someone that we're going out. I wouldn't want Kelly to go thinking we've been kidnapped or something stupid like that." Dan said this with a slight laugh as he walked of in the direction of the back door .

Before he was out of site I burst out into laughter because I could see the look that Kelly would have on her face thinking that we had been kidnapped and the frenzy she would be in. This made Dan chuckle a s he walked into the house to tell someone where we were going or that we were just going out. I don't know what he said I'm not telepathic or something.

After a few minutes he came back out with a smile on his face. "Right, I told Phil where we were going, or at least that we were going out. Oh and Kelly told me to give you this as she didn't see you get any breakfast." He told me this while handing me my favourite breakfast biscuits.

"OH MY GOD YES!!!" I screamed as I saw they were my favourite ones. I ran off in to the woods while Dan came running after me laughing his head of at how insane I was acting.

After about a minute of running we were both out of breath we stopped and looked around. I had never seen this part of the woods which shocked me a little since I spent so much of my time here, but I was happy we found it, it was beautiful.

"Where are we Dem?" He asked this with a rather and confused look on his face but curiosity in his voice.

"To be completely honest with you Dan, I have no idea." I said this with a little laugh. The look on his face turned into pure amusement.

"what are you smirking at Howell?" I asked this trying to sound serious but sadly fails as I was smiling at the end.

"Oh no reason." he paused fro a second while having a smirk on his face. "just the fact that we ran in one direction for a minute and we managed to get lost." He burst into laughter after he finished his sentence and I joined in not long after.

"Well, since we're 'lost' how about we sit and chat since all of a sudden you want to find out more about me?" I asked this with a smile and a little laugh.

"Right, so do you have any questions in mind then?" I asked with a hint of curiosity, and almost straight away he looked at me and asked.

"Yeah I do. What the hell is your last name?" he asked this with a little laugh, and this made me realise that I hadn't told him my last name, to be honest I have no idea how I could forget to do that! (A/N I only just realised this myself, or at least I don't think I have! :P )

"My Last name is Fay, I can't believe I never told you that. Hu." I said with a little laugh and that made him smile.

"So your name is Demi Fay?" He asked this with a smile and I just nodded smiling and giggling at the fact he seemed so happy that he finally knew my last name.

"Anything else or is that all you wanted to know?" I asked with a laugh and a massive smile on my face.

"Well, why did you start to make videos?" He asked this with a small smile as he sat down on a small log that looked big enough for two so I sat down nest to him. And when I say it looked like it could fit two, I was right but only just as I nearly pushed him of and I nearly fell of the edge.

"Well I always used to keep Kelly entertained when ever we had to move or we were just bored, so I thought it would be a fun idea, you know? Anyway I just made the videos as a laugh to be honest, I never made any money off of them, they were just something for me to do. I don't even know where the idea came from it was just a spur of the moment thing I guess." I said this with a small smile remembering all the old videos I made, while trying not to cringe at all the terrible quality ones.

"Well then I'm glad you had that moment." He said this with a cheeky smile. I rested my head on his shoulder and carried on chatting about any and everything.

We sat there and talked for a while, eventually moving off of the small log so we were just sitting on the floor talking and laughing at each other. Time flew by us and before we knew it, it was starting to get dark.

"I think we should probably head back  to the house." I said with a smile and a small laugh as he looked at me.

"Yeah I only have one problem with that." Dan laughed as he looked around aimlessly.

"And what would that be?"I asked with a smile.

"The whole reason we've been walking around aimlessly is because we have no idea where we are." He said with a laugh as he rapped his arm around my waist pulling me in closer as the cold breeze began to pass through the woods.

A/N I've had this in my drafts for nearly 2 FUCKING YEARS. Like really in  6 days it will have been in my drafts for exactly 2 years. I'm so sorry about that but I'm back now and I will update as much as I can. I have all the time in the world right now since I dropped out of school.  I turned 18 as well by the way, if anyone really cares. I can also finally walk for longer than 10 minutes without my hips deciding to go into excruciating pain. My dog loved me for it.
