Why me? ( Dan Howell Fan fiction)

Chapter 6

Dan’s POV

“Hey Phil what did you think of Demi’s new video?” I asked Phil as I couldn’t sleep and I could tell he couldn’t either.

“I thought it was good but all I could concentrate on was the bit where she said she had a massive family problem.” Phil said turning over on to his right side so he was facing me and my bed.

“I know that’s all I could concentrate on too. What do you think happened to them?” I asked. That’s all I’ve been able to think about the entire day and it feels good to know that I wasn’t the only one.

“I don’t know but she will tell us if she wants. Right?” Phil asked while sighing.

“I’m not sure. Every time she starts to remember things like that she gets really upset and that’s just at small things, imagine what she would be like talking about it!” I whispered to him as I could tell the girls were both asleep.

“yeah I guess, anyway I think we should get some sleep as it’s really late and you need to film a video tomorrow or should I say this afternoon.” Phil whispered back to me which made me remember that I still need to come up with a video idea. All I know is that I want Demi to be in it.

“yeah.” And that was all I said before I finally drifted off to sleep.

Demi’s POV

12:30 pm

“You want me to be in one of you videos?” I asked Dan in disbelief.  I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why he wanted me to be in one of his videos.

“Yeah, I looked at some of the comments on your last video and let’s just say they think I don’t know you and think your room is just a perfect copy of mine.” Dan said with a cheeky smile

“You wish Dan, you wish. But fine if you really want me to be in your video then I will.” I said with a cheeky smile back at him.

“YES” is all he said while jumping up and down punching the air. All this made me do was laugh at how he was acting; it was as if he had won the lottery or something.

“Calm down Dan, what’s the video about anyway?” I asked kind of scared as he hadn’t told me that and I had just agreed to it.

“It a question and answer video, I need to send a tweet now asking for some. You can wait in my room as it will only take a second before they all start flooding in.” He said that and it kind of relaxed me as I have a feeling if anyone asks about my family he’ll ignore it, or at least I hope he will. With that I walked up all the stairs and went into his room.

Hello internet. So today I thought I’d do a video with my good friend Demi, also known as Whyme on YouTube. So on queue I came into shot. Hey guy. So Dan what are we doing today. As I asked Dan that I turned to face him with a smile. Well Demi today we’re gonna answer some questions that they sent us. Dan paused for a second so I took the chance to say something funny. Here we go. I said my best Mario impression which made Dan laugh. You had to say that didn’t you. All I did was nod. Right first question Demi. @icancancan33 asks would you rather live in London or in L.A. Well I would love to live in L.A because of the weather but I have to say London because of Dan and Phi. I mean who else am I meant to get to come over when I cook way too much food. When I said that all Dan could do was smile so I took the chance to grab his phone and pick a question. @Kelly26 asks what was your first impression of Demi? S I asked that I realised that Kelly had sent that tweet. Well my first impression of you has got to be ‘OOOH’ and ‘She must be cold’. He paused to see what my reaction was. You and Phil were the guys that said OOH god you are so lucky all I wanted to do was get a hot chocolate otherwise I would have ripped your heads off! Once I said this all he could do was laugh at me. We carried on answering questions until the one question I was dreading came up. Right so this is gonna have to be the last question we ask so how about we pick it at random. Yeah that sounds like the only way we are gonna pick it without having a fight. He scrolled through the questions and then stopped on one. @MrsBeiber999 asks… oh. Dan just ask the question already. He paused for a second and then carried on. Well she asks hey Demi I watched your last video and I was wondering what happened to your family? This made me freeze I mean I can’t say what really happened to them so what do I say. I then finally realized I had to say something otherwise it’s just gonna keep coming up. I took a deep breath in and said a sentence that was hard for me to say as me and my family were so close it was unbelievable. I mean I hate to even think about my family let alone talk about it, and I guess Dan and Phil both understand that since they haven’t asked that question or even brought my family up unless I did. They all died. My mum, dad and brother gone! After I said that I started balling my eyes out, I didn’t want to I just couldn’t help it. All the feeling that I had been holding in for so long finally came out and all Dan did was hug me and end his video. I had a bad feeling that Dan might ask  some more questions as soon as he stopped recording but he didn’t he just hugged me.

“Hey please don’t cry Dem. I hate to see you cry!” Is all Dan said as he hugged me and rubbed my back.  We were like this for a few  minutes, just Dan hugging me while I cried into his shoulder.

“Sorry you had to end your video like that Dan.” I said this still crying a little but I really felt as if it needed  to be said then and there for some strange reason.

“It’s ok. You don’t have to apologise, do you want to redo the ending and pretend like that question never happened?” As soon as he asked this I kinda knew that it had to stay how it was because it’s the only way I think people will realise they should not ask me about my family.

“Well, could we leave it how it is as I have a feeling if we don’t then people will only just keep asking me it as about 50% of the questions were like that. But only if that’s ok with you I mean it is your channel.” I said with a shy smile while wiping my eyes as they were covered in tears.

“Yeah I understand, but you have to help me edit I though.” He said this with a cheeky smile that made me giggle.

We spent about 4 hours editing together before I got a text from Kelly Telling me to come home. I told Dan I had to go home. He said he would finish editing it by himself and tell me when it was up. I was kinda glad Kelly said I had to go home as I didn’t have to watch the whole crying scene again.

When I got back to my flat the first thing Kelly asked was why my eyes were a little blood shot, so I told her everything that happened she just gave me a hug. We had tea (A/N it’s what I call dinner :P) and then went to sleep.

A/N Hey sorry I didn't put this up during half term but I had to do a load of school work and kinda forgot to type anything up. the next few chapters won't take long as all i have to do is type them up as I wrote them during Spanish as I don't have to do it any more as I have finished my course! YEY :D
