A Carbon's Guide to The Market Place

I love The Market Place, all of the different beings coming from all corners of the Nova makes my heart soar! I wish I could smell the food here, but sadly I can't breathe the air on this planet. If you're a carbon (like me) you have to wear a helmet around these parts, if you want some good old fashioned open air then The Market Place probably isn't for you. A very important thing to note is that the air in your helmet gets more damp every thirty minutes or so, always recharge after one hour so you don't pass out due to lack of oxygen (or whatever air you breathe).

Now you have to be careful about the food around here, do not get me wrong the food is incredible, but, some if it is actually deadly. Now I'm a human, I love food from earth in every variety, however every once in a while it's good to try something more foreign, but sometimes what other beings consider a delicacy, can actually be quite harmful to other, biologically different beings. Take the "Istokian Cactus Root" for example, Istokians love it, but for pretty much everyone else it'll shut your immune system down permanently. Some foods won't even kill you, some just give you really bad hallucinations and make you pass out in an alley way, so unless you're into that kind of thing, stay away from those meals too.

There are some customs around here that may seem weird to some. If you see a couple of Croaxl's licking each others tentacles in public, that's actually a normal thing for their kind to do, if you see some 01001101's talking only in numeric expressions that is also completely ordinary, and for you non-humans reading this; if you see any of our kind drinking all of our problems away that is, sadly, also commonplace. So if you see something that looks weird to you, remember, it's probably normal for them.

Okay last but not least, if you're looking to buy and sell make sure to trade whatever form of currency you have for the standard currency of: The Market Place. If you try to pay for things with your own non-transferred money, they'll think it's counterfeit and they'll throw you out. I made this mistake once, and I narrowly avoided prison, trust me, it's not fun.

Well I hope this shed some light on the inner workings of The Market Place, and I hope that I can keep writing about it in the future, but for now I'm signing off

Sincerely,

Captain Roger.
