"Nice to see you again, Mr. & Mrs. Dequendo, masaya akong nakarating kayo" Gaano naba katagal? it's been years "So... What's our deal here?"I looked at Papa. I didn't want to be rude but I wouldn't like to involve myself in something that I'm not needed for and Papa knows that. Although I'm doing it now for a different reason, I don't wanna deal with him, not now.
"Fine, you can go. We'll just talk about business" and that's my chance to leave his gaze.
I left without looking back.
"It's been years, bakit kelangan pa naming magkita? just when I've finally paid my attention to other things" talking to myself walking towards the stoned pathway that will lead me to the beach.
Pinalaya ko siya kasi yun ang gusto niya. So why is he here? Why am I bothered anyway? Baka sumasama lang talaga siya sa mga meetings with his parents? To learn about business? Arghh, i don't know anymore!
I walked towards the sea. I'm wearing a bikini underneath my dress since I was about to go for a swim when they arrived.
What's with you Dim? You've affected me enough, siguro naman tama na yun.
"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" It took me minutes to process who spoke, but I manage not to look.
"Shouldn't I be the one to ask you that?" refraining from looking back. "Ikaw, bakit ka nandito? You should be inside."
"That's not for you to decide"
I just ignored him and continued looking at the sea. I decided to go for a swim, so I took off my dress completely ignoring his presence. I don't even know if he's still there.
"Let's talk Avie"
"There's nothing for us to talk about" the waves are already hitting my feet. " Years have passed already" Gosh, Avie kanina lang naiinis ka kasi umakto siyang 'di ka kilala tapos ngayon ayaw mo makipag usap.
I was about to go for a dip when he held my arm.
"Please, just this once." I looked at him blankly. I tried to get out of his grip but there was no use.
I sighed. " Fine, I don't even know what's the use of this pero sige"
"Why did you do it?" I don't know how to answer.
"Well... as far as I know sinabi ko na sayo ang dahilan" I looked somewhere else; I can't handle his gaze. " I told you... I was bored."
This conversation will lead nowhere. Kung kanina sabik akong maligo, ngayon, wala na 'kong gana. So instead of going towards the sea I'm now heading back inside.
