I stood in front of the mirror as I practiced the routine I've practiced at least fifteen times today. It has to be perfect. My comeback will be May 11th. It's not that far away and I'm starting to get anxious.

The music came to an end and I stood there panting. I looked at my reflection. I'm a bit tanner than this time last year. My grey eyes are lighter, brighter. My hair is dyed red at the ends and I finally grew a little. I'm happy with my appearance now even though I lost more weight. He wouldn't be happy if he were here.

"Baobei?"

I jumped at the sound of his voice. I turned around and saw Tao standing in the doorway. His hair was a blue/platinum blond color. He looked a little darker and taller. Then again, I haven't seen him in a few months; my mind could be playing tricks on me.

"Why haven't you called?" I asked him while fighting back my smile. He pouted a little.

"I've been busy. I'm sorry," he said softly.

"You couldn't even FaceTime me? You didn't have five minutes? I had to see you on TV during your showcase."

"Baobei, please don't be like this."

"And then you missed my birthday."

"I got you something," he said holding out a small black bag. I finally stopped fighting my smile and ran to him.

"I was just kidding. I missed you so much," I said tightly wrapping my arms around him.

"Don't do that! You scared me! I thought you were really mad at me!" Tao said tightly wrapping his arm around my waist.

"You should know by now that I can't get mad at you," I said looking up at him.

He must have grown. I actually had to stand on my toes to kiss him whereas I never had to do that before. I guess I'm forever short...like Jonghyun.

"So what did you get me?" I asked after releasing him.

"Sometimes I think you just use me for gifts," he said narrowing his eyes at me.

"I promise I don't. But you do give awesome gifts."

"I know I do," he said smugly. "Happy birthday, Kiku," he then said giving me the bag.

One thing about Tao is that I can never be too sure about what he's going to give me. He has gotten a lot better at surprises. He sometimes goes a bit overboard.

I reached inside the bag and pulled out a pair of earrings. They were two toned- gold and red. Next was a necklace. It had a long gold chain with a small red cube charm. Finally, was a bracelet. It was red and black with a big gold clasp on it. Fendi was engraved in the gold.

"Tao, how did you-"

"Don't worry about it. Just know that I love you a whole lot."

"I'm so lucky to have you," I said hugging him.

"I know you are. Come watch us practice," he said releasing me and taking my hand. Before I could protest, he dragged me out of my room and down the hall to EXO's room.

"Hey Kiku," Jongin said with a smile. His blond hair was styled crazily on his head reminding me of a mad scientist.

"Hey Jongin, guys."

Tao immediately lead me to a chair. The K members of EXO moved to the sides of the room and sat down. I laughed a little when Tao groaned as he laid down on the floor. Yixing and Jongdae helped Minseok stand on Tao's feet and Tao groaned again.

"I'm too old for this!" He whined.

"You're not even 21 yet!" I laughed.

The music started.

"Come in."

"Can I stay the night?" Tao asked.

We were all getting ready to go home. It must have been about 1:30 in the morning. I was tired, sweaty, and hungry. And tomorrow I have a photoshoot for Ceci.

"I don't know. I have to get up pretty early for my schedule," I said slinging my Nike bag over my shoulder as we waited for the elevator.

"I'll just go with you," he said. "We don't have anything to do until tomorrow night."

"I don't really care if you come or not but you've been super busy lately. I know you're tired."

There was a ding and the elevator doors opened. I went in and leaned against the mirrored walls. Tao pressed the the lobby button and the doors slowly closed as well as my eyes.

"I want to spend as much time as possible with you," Tao said wrapping his arms around my waist.

I opened my eyes and smiled at him. He sweetly pecked my lips. I loosely wrapped my arms around his neck and laid my head on his shoulder.

"You're so greasy," I said as the elevator came to a stop. "I'd be happy if you came home with me. Besides, the guys already left and I'm not driving to your dorm."
