Let It Go

The last time I saw Tao was on his birthday. That was nearly two months ago already. We haven't really been able to talk because of our hectic schedules. At the most, we have been able to send 'I love you' and 'Goodnight' texts every now and then but I've been in America for fansigning events and a concert. When he's going to sleep, I'm getting ready for lunch or an event and vise versa. I'm so ready for this to end.

At least I don't have to wait much longer. EXO has been going through a tough time since Kris left. They're still active, but not as much as they normally would be. I'm done with my overseas work, so I'm heading home. I can finally see Tao again. We can finally have the talk I've been thinking about. It's time for this to end.

"You want to do what?" Tao asked. He's taking this as well as I expected. "Are you sure?"

"I'm sure. This needs to come to an end. Our relationship is too stressful under these circumstances," I said looking him in his eyes. He slowly nodded making me smile. "I knew you'd see it my way."

"So when do we tell them?"

"I was thinking we could tell Sooman-ssi tomorrow and I'm supposed to be on Sukira next week so I can announce it then. Unless you want to do it sooner."

"N-No that's sounds good. I'm actually scared."

"I know. I am too," I said laying my head on his shoulder.

We have finally decided to make our relationship public. The only reason we kept it a secret is because we are both on dating bans and relationships don't really last long when you're an idol. Especially when the two in the relationship are celebrities. The hate will be strong, but we will prove that our love for each other is stronger.

I really enjoyed the silent moment we had. That is until there was a thud and a loud booming of laughter. We were in the dorm since I missed these idiots and I wanted to see them.

"Can we please go back to your place?" Tao begged. He has asked me this question at least five times in the hour I've been here.

"You might as well move in since you're there whenever you can be," I said pulling my keys out of my pocket.

"Well a lot of my stuff is over there..." he trailed off.

"As much as my umma* likes you, she will not let you move in," I laughed.

"You don't know about that," he said cupping my cheek.

"Well why don't you ask her?"

"I will," he said confidently before our lips met in a gratifying kiss.

Lee Sooman... He is an intimidating man at times. I had read things and heard horrible stories about the man way before I signed to his company. I heard about the repercussions of dating in this company. I believed every single one of them. There was a point in time where I didn't believe them because he always treated me so kindly. That soon changed when Kris left EXO. Something obviously went wrong there.

"Are you ready?" Tao asked me.

I nodded, not trusting my voice. I slowly raised my hand and knocked on his door. After hearing him grant us access to his office, I slowly opened the door. Sooman looked up at the two of us with a small smile.

"What can I do for you two?" he asked and I felt shivers shoot down my spine.

"Tao and I have been in a relationship for quite some time now," I said hoping to get this over quickly.

"Exactly how long is 'quite some time'?"

"Just a little over two years now."

"And we would like to make our relationship public," Tao said. "We have kept it confidential long enough."

Sooman said nothing and sat back in his chair. He brought his hand to his mouth as he seemed to mull things over. I felt like I was being judged before being sentenced to death row. My nerves couldn't be calmed. Tao took my hand as he seemed to sense my anxiety.

"Okay, if this is what you both want," Sooman finally said.

I felt like an enormous weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I can finally breathe easy. We can step out of the shadows now.

"I want to tell the public next week when I'm on Sukira."

"That sounds fine by me."

I smiled at him. Maybe he isn't too bad after all. But... I shook the thought of if my head. Tao and I bowed and we turned to leave the room.

"Good luck and congratulations," Sooman said with a smile just as we left his office.

When the door was closed, Tao tightly hugged me. I laughed and hugged him back. I'm glad it went as smooth as it did.

Of course it didn't last for long. I was woken up at five in the morning when my phone began vibrating. I groaned and pulled it from under my pillow. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes so I could actually look at my screen. It was a text from Tao containing a link. I pressed the link and my eyes nearly bulged out of my head.

Sooman has confirmed Baekhyun and Taeyeon's relationship.

"Damn..." I muttered as I called Tao. "Why would he do that?" I asked Tao as soon as he answered. "He knew what we were going to do yet he did this anyway. He wants to bury you guys under the controversies."

"I don't think so, baobei*," Tao said much more calmly than I sounded at the moment. "Maybe he thought it would be best to get everything out at once."

"We'll just have to see how this works."

It's safe to say it didn't go well. A week has passed and the fans are furious at Taeyeon and Baekhyun. A lot of them are angry because they kept it a secret for so long. They have been dating for four months. I have been with Tao for two years. Imagine the response to that. This is not good. This is not what was supposed to happen.
