Chapter six

The officers had arrested Alex's father to which I'm glad they did. I'd still like to knock his ass into a bloody pulp. But I can't, Alex went into her second seizure and god I don't want that to happen again.

Tyler sits next to me as we watch Alex's steady breathing
" I'm gonna head to school and collect both your work", he said giving my shoulder a pat before kneeling next to Alex's head and giving her a kiss on her temple
" see you later babygirl", he says softly then walks out out shutting the door carefully to make no noise.

I push my chair closer to her bed and lay my head next to hers falling asleep next to my angel.

My eyes flutter open, the room is a bit fuzzy but I take slow breaths an see my vision clear up. I look around noticing no one is here until I hear soft snores beside my head. Confused I looked to my right an see Kaden sleeping peacefully beside me.
I smile softly an lay on my side careful of the oxygen tube in my nose and play with his hair. So soft and a bit spiky to it. I hear him groan softly and notice thats he's in a very uncomfortable position. I shake his shoulder gently

"Kaden....Kaden", I shake his shoulders a bit more and he bolts upright looking around, until he noticed my wide eyed expression, to which he softened his eyes at me

" your awake", he says softly to which I shift a bit uncomfortably

" why... why?", I try to talk but went into a coughing fit

He rubs my back soothingly an hands me a cup of ice water. I drank it greedily as it soothed my scratchy burning throat.

" th... thank you", I stuttered. What the hell? Why am I stuttering its Kaden.

He must have saw my confusion so he takes my hand gently and rubs it
" you had another seizure Alex and it was all my fault. I couldn't stop hurting him for what he did to you. So caught up in rage I didn't see you were seizing until Tyler yelled out to me. I'm so sorry Alex", he whispered covering his face

"Its... its not your fault", I say rubbing my scar

" it is Alex, my violent behavior caused your seizure", he said more roughly

I shook my head and smashed my lips against his. He didn't move, shocked at my actions but as soon as he registered what was happening he cupped the back of my head and pulled me closer into him. His kiss was amazing, Kaden is my first kiss ever.

He pulled away breathlessly and chuckled at my reddish cheeks," your beautiful when you blush baby", he says huskily

I smile but frown," why were you sleeping in the chair?", I couldn't help but ask him

He awkwardly scratched the back of his head," I didn't want to leave you so I thought you'd feel safe if I was still here with you", he says softly rubbing my cheek

I pull him up on the bed," come lay with me then. You have dark circles under your eyes, so please... lay next to me", I ask and he smiled softly before slowly easing himself next to me wrapping an arm around my waist as I cuddled into his chest careful of the oxygen tube.

"Sleep beautiful. I'll be here when you open your beautiful eyes", he says kissing my temple and pulling me more into him as my eyes began to shut on its own accord.

"Kaden... bro wake up", Tyler's voice rings in my ear waking me from my slumber. Alex still asleep next to me with her head comfortably on my shoulder.

" had a good sleep I see", Tyler says with  amusement clear on his face. I chuckled softly an combed my finger through Alex's hair which was so soft an silky. I loved it!
