Stone lead his entire tribe to go to Alpine territory. When they got there, they readied their stone weapons and bared their teeth. They noticed that there was no one there. There was not even a firepit. There was an elevated rock, but no Phoebe on it.
Phoebe and her entire tribe had made their way over to the other territory, stealing rations and rocks from Redwood's firepit. They filled their small bags (that they found dropped by hikers) with all the supplies they could fit.
Pack Alpine went back to their territory stealthily. When they got there, they saw Redwood confused that Alpine was gone, and so were their things. Phoebe stayed in the bushes and sent her best fighters to go back into their territory. With their new stone swords that they stole from Redwood, winning the war would be easy.
Tolf, Phoebe's main general, lead the troops into the territory. Tolf began the fighting as he struck the general of Pack Redwood. The general yowled with pain and ran back to its territory. Tolf sent his troops to go and battle wolves of equal power and ability. Tolf began getting a few shocking blows on Stone.
Phoebe ran out of the bushes, stone sword and stone shield drawn. She began slicing Stone several times. Stone was so shocked that he just stood there, frozen, and took the damage. After a while, he realized what was happening and surrendered to Alpine.
"Why didn't you just tell me that you wanted more rations instead of starting a war that isn't good for the environment?" she asked. "You could have asked for more hunting grounds and I probably would have made a trade agreement."
"Can we..." Stone started.
"Ship's sailed now!" Phoebe exclaimed, surprised of how stupid Stone was being. "No leave! Go back to where you belong!"
Stone and his injured tribe began the shameful walk home. As they arrived, they realized that Alpine had stolen most of their things, including: stone swords, stone shields, fur coats, food, rocks from their firepit, and sheets of ice with writing carved into it. This had made Stone angry however, he didn't want to start any more conflict with Alpine because he knew Redwood wouldn't win.
