Snap Out of It!

"Calm down. Nothing's happened yet. You just need to find a way to get out of here." I told myself. I glanced back as I heard footsteps behind me. "Ayano!" I said, spotting her. "You'll never stop me from getting Senpai, Nemesis." She said as she held her knife in her hand.

"That's what you think." I said, glaring at her. "No... It's what I know."

I gasped as she was suddenly with the knife near my throat. She laughed at me and I cut her cheek with my own knife, then got out of her hold.

"Senpai is mine. You won't take him from. I'll kill you before you even get the chance." Ayano said. "We'll see." I said. I paused for a second, remembering this was just a genjutsu. "You're not real. None of this is real. You're just an image." I said, convincing myself.

"If I wasn't real, then you won't feel this now, would you?"

I gasped as I felt a stab to the back, making me fall to my hands and knees. "It's not real. It's not real." I said, trying to get back to my feet. "Telling yourself that won't get you out of the situation, Nemesis!"

I cried out when I felt myself get stabbed in my shoulder, my side, my leg, and my chest. "You'll never win, Nemesis. Just give up now." Ayano said. "Never." I replied. "Then, die," I looked up as Ayano raised the knife over her head.

"Farewell, Nemesis. It was fun." She said, smirking. 'Snap out of it dammit! It's not real! Snap out of it!' I thought as my eyes were closed tightly. "No," I grabbed Ayano's wrist before the knife came down on my face.

"This isn't farewell. This isn't even the end," I rose to my feet while still having a hold of Ayano's wrist. "I will get out of this world. And when I do, I will eliminate you. That's a promise." I said. I punched Ayano in the face and she disappeared, along with the colors around me.

"I did it. I'm out of the genjutsu." I said to myself, somewhat relieved. I looked over at Michi as she slowly clapped her hands.

"Very well done, Kuu. I never knew you had it in you. To be honest, I was hoping you'd stay in my genjutsu a little bit longer. Oh, well. That's fine because I just thought of a bunch of other ways to kill you." She said.

"Funny, I was just thinking the same thing." I replied, sarcastically. "That's the spirit! Hey, I like you, Kuu." Michi said, smiling. I frowned as I was quickly in front of her, then punched her jaw. "You talk too much." I mentioned.

Michi stood up while blood ran down her chin. "I take it back. I don't like you." She said. "Good, because I don't like you either. Now let's finish this battle once and for all." I said.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Michi agreed, and we began fighting again.
