Aloca's POV

'Beeep' 'Beeep' 'Beeep' I was half way through what was an amazing dream when I was awoken by what I can only describe as a really bloody annoying beeeping noise. I opened my eyes, squinting to save myself being blinded by the sunlight which was escaping through the small gap where my curtains met. I sighed and sat up, swinging, my legs over the side of the bed and letting out a big yawn. I stood up and shuffled over to my window to see where the noise was coming from. I peeked through to see a large truck reversing onto the drive.

Oh great we have new neighbours, that means no more getting changed with the curtains open... damn it.

A tall blonde lady came out from the house and signed some papers which she was given from the truck driver, before he slid the back door open, revealing all kinds of furniture.

"Aloca, get up, breakfast is ready, " I heard my mum shout from down stairs. Food made the thought of getting up before 9:30am on a Sunday morning that little bit easier. I quickly marched down stairs and plopped myself down on a stool by the counter, before grabbing myself some toast. Mum slid a plate across the table to me and my nostrils were filled with heaven. A full Sunday breakfast. You can't beat it.

"So have you met the new neighbours yet?" I asked. Knowing full well mum would have been round already to welcome them. It's a small town here and everyone knows everyone so making people welcome comes quite naturally to us locals. Well...except me.
" Yes actually I have. They're names are Mr and Mrs Payne. They have two children. A son who's your age named Luke and his twin sister Sydney. That's all I know really, but they seem nice". She grabbed the last piece of toast and went upstairs, probably to take a shower before everyone else used the hot water up, but not before shouting " make sure you make them feel welcome tomorrow at school ".

Oh great, that's right. They'll be joining Pukekohe High School. If only they already had friends....... or if only I wasn't so shy.

"Dan! Get your scrawny little backside down here! We're, going to be late.... AGAIN!" I shouted up stairs. Daniel is my older brother, he's a year older than me so that would make him 18. He's in his final year at school and it seems he's not that fussed on how well he does. All he cares about is partying, sex, partying, food and well.... partying. He's alway late to school and unfortunately we travel together to save petrol, which means if he's late I'm late.

He came running down the stairs, grabbed an apple out of the fruit bowl and walked out the front door.
"Are you coming or what?" He said with a hint of laughter in his voice.

Oh the cheek of him.

The drive to school took about ten minutes. We're located in the middle of a valley, surround by nothing but shrub, waterfalls, rolling hills and sheep. Lots and lots of sheep.
'New Zealand you're one of a kind' I thought as I watched out the car window, the sun just shining over the top of the hills.

Periods 1 and 2 were nothing special. Maths and physics, both of which are not my forte. I was sat at the dinner table munching on a ham and pickle sandwich while Sav was sat picking her cheese burger apart. Savannah is my best friend, we've been friends since we were 4 years old. She's slim and with long blond hair which sits just below her shoulders, she's got chocolate brown eyes and from first appearance, she comes across as the sweet innocent kind. When really she's not all that innocent, she's full of character and always brightens up the room when she enters.

"So have you seem the two new kids in town?" She's asked

"No, but whoever they are, they're our new neighbours." I explained.

Sav's mouth dropped as she looked over to the lunch hall doors. I swivelled in my seat to look in the same direction, to see dan strolling in with the two new kids either side of him.

Trust him to be so welcoming

My heart got stuck in my throat. They were both extremely attractive and all 3 were heading our way. I spun back round and my eyes widened with panic as I looked at Sav, who was still sat there with her jaw hanging low. I tried to calm myself but my anxiety was getting the better of me and I yet again got frustrated with myself for getting so nervous about meeting new people......new extremely hot people.

"Hey guys this is Luke and Sydney, they're our new neighbours" said dan as he placed his back down on the table before pulling out his packed lunch. Having a school lunch or packed lunch was completely optional, although dan preferred to make his own most days.

"HI" we replied in unison. I smiled at Sydney who looked stunning, she had blonde hair curled with some bangs and blue eyes. She wore a white summer dress with saddles and a little flower clip in her hair. Her makeup was light and very similar to how I wore mine.
She smiled back before sitting down, followed by her brother.
I looked up at him to see him already looking in my direction, his blond shaggy hair contrasted well with his olive tanned skin. He wore a black V neck vest, with shorts and brown beaded necklace to finish off his look. His arm muscles looked big and firm, his shoulders defined.

I smiled nervously, and smirk appeared on his face before he tucked into his lunch.

Oh no, he's the cocky kind.... great (note the sarcasm)

Luke's POV

I threw myself backwards onto my bed after what felt like the longest day ever. I led there rethinking the days events, though my mind kept drifting back to one thing in particular, or should I say someone in particular. Aloca.

Her brother dan seems nice, he explained that's she's not the popular kind like him. Which I gathered as soon as I met her. She's stunning, in fact I've never seen someone so stunning in all my life. The best thing is, she's completely oblivious to how pretty she actually is. She's oblivious to all the stares she gets off boys, all the glares she gets of the girls. She looks like pure innocence.

Maybe I should stay away

She wore a long grey baggy jumper with black jeans, covering any sort of hint to what kind of figure she had. She had tanned skin with long thick brunette hair which reached all the way down to her bum. Her crystal blue eyes, well.... they were something else.

She glanced up as I sat down, her lips curled, creating half a smile, before she nervously looked back down to continue eating. She didn't say much more that lunch, she just sat and listened, giggling at the odd comment here and there.

But I could see her mind ticking

I'm intrigued.
I want to know more.
