Callan had been trailing Lisa around all morning, which was suspicious, since he almost always rushed out of the commons with Asher before breakfast to do Merlin-knows-what. But there he was, sitting atleast three inches away from his sister on the couch, who was trying to get a bit of homework done before she went down to eat.
"Oh look, Cal. It's Asher. Don't you two have a kitchen to raid or something?" Lisa asked, expecting Asher to make a beeline towards his best friend. But the blonde boy kept walking, ignoring Callan completely. Her brows arched up, looking back and forth between the two, noticing that they didn't even bother acknowledging the other's presence.
"Are you two fighting?" Lisa frowned, "Because there was never a morning that you'd rather spend with me than with him... What's up?"
"Ash and I aren't fighting." Callan retorted, "We just mutually decided to spend time with our older siblings, is all. Family time is essential too."
"Yeah okay that's still a tad bit suspicious..." Lisa said, narrowing her eyes at her brother, "Are you planning something against me?"
"You're too paranoid, Lis. Why don't you finish your homework. I'm just sitting here and doing nothing."
She stared at him momentarily, before averting her attention back to her parchment, "If you want something from me, just say so, okay? You don't have to pretend to like bonding with me."
Callan shook his head, "Is it really that impossible for me to just genuinely want to spend time with my older sister?"
"It is. No offense, Cal, but you aren't the most sibling oriented one in the family. That's me."
"Well I am now."
Callan still followed Lisa as she and Noel finally went down for breakfast, eating his meal in silence as he glanced up from his plate every once in awhile, looking around... Lisa, too, was intrigued, and decided after much deliberation, that her brothers' intentions were purely out of affections.
Noel nudged her, as he was also eyeing Callan curiously, "What's up with him? Did he get into a row with Asher?"
"They're all good. He just wants to, ah, spend some time with his older sister, as he said."
He chuckled, "That seems highly suspicious. You think he's up to something?"
"I thought so. But so far he hasn't done anything to prove otherwise. So until then, he's innocent."
"Hey, you lot!" A voice greeted.
She was somewhat startled when Angelina appeared, sliding into the seat right across her. Lisa cleared her throat, glancing at Noel as he groaned, "I told you. I'm not joining the team."
"Well I'm not here for you anymore, little brother." Angelina retorted. Lisa swore she saw Angelina share a brief glance with Callan. "I'm here for Lisa."
She blinked rapidly, "M-Me?"
"Her?"
"Yes, her." she drawled out to Noel, before turning to Lisa, "Yes, you, Elisabeth Branson. I'm here for you."
"For what?"
"To ask you to join the Quidditch team."
