Not wanting to be branded as a killjoy for life, Lisa allowed herself to get dragged along by the multiple family outings that had happened during the next few days. Her siblings were ecstatic to have received their parents' undivided attention as they went from beach to beach, taking as many photos as they possibly could. Cynthia made a remark about putting together a scrapbook, but Lisa doubted that she had any time to do that.

While out at lunch, the couple gushed about their plans to introduce the children to the Australian Quidditch team. More specifically, Lisa, who did not hear the end about how fantastic the Beaters were at their job. Ideally, it was not the brightest position on the team, but what mattered to them was that she was actually going to play.

Lisa prayed subconsciously to any higher power that her parents wouldn't make her demonstrate any sort of Quidditch in front of a professional team. She didn't want international embarrassment of any sort.

As soon as they had got home from yet another beach trip, the sight of a post owl perched on the front porch of their townhouse made her beam with delight. She barged in to the threshold, finding a letter from Noel sitting on the dinner table. Quickly ripping it open, she read through the contents happily.

Hey, Lis!

You know it hasn't even been a week, right? Australia can't possibly be that bad. I mean, it's the land down under! Angelina says hi, and my mum says she hopes you have a good holiday. You'll have a whole pecan pie ready for you when we meet at the station. Oh, and don't forget, I don't have an Australia keychain yet. Have you seen any kangaroos yet, though? I heard they're all over the place and are extremely humongous. Tell me when you do see them. A picture would be awesome. Don't forget the koalas too! I hope you really are having a fantastic time. Remember, if you aren't, ATLEAST pretend that you are. For your parents' sake, stop moping around too much, yeah? It'll be over soon, although I don't really see how a trip to Australia could be dreadful. Write back when you can.

P.S: check for jellyfish before you swim at the beaches. Just a precaution.

Yours, Elly

She smiled subconsciously, folding the letter back up before she kicked off her shoes, trudging up the stairs to her room to get atleast a little bit of rest. Merlin knows what other crazy ideas would pop in to her parents' minds. Pulling out a piece of parchment and writing materials, she began constructing a reply to Noel's letter, answering all his questions and enumerating all the pointless things she had been doing for the past few days.

There was a beautiful view of the sunset from the window of her room. She watched as the sun descended slowly down the horizon, leaving a dark orange haze in it's wake. Soon, she was staring up at a sky filled with a billion stars—which was the only thing that Lisa genuinely liked, as she could see all the constellations that she learned about back when she used to take Astronomy.

The sound of Callan and Maisie running around in the hallways disrupted her peace and quiet, mentally cursing the tiny townhouse for not having sound proof walls. If she could only use her wand...

Feeling all the events from her whole day catching up to her, she flopped down onto the bed, wishing, for what may have been the billionth time, for this nightmare of a trip to be over with. But she realized that the worse part was only getting started as soon as she was called down to dinner, her parents discussing their plans for the next few days—including Christmas.
