Change Can Be A Good Thing

chapter 1

Rose’s Pov.

“ROSE WAKE UP NOW!” my mom yelled I just rolled over to look at the clock and saw that it was 7:30. “Shit” I jump out of bed and run to my bathroom to take a shower I get out and get dressed I sit on my floor in front of my tall mirror to do my hair and make up. I straighten my long brown hair that stops right above my butt. Today is the first day of school of my senior year and I have to look my best. I put on very little make up. I just do my eyeliner, mascara and a little lipgloss. I finish and grab my bag and run down stairs. “here’” my mom says and tosses me my car keys to my chevy truck. “ Thanks mom. love you bye” I run out the door and go to my truck and throw my bag in the back and get in. I drive down to Natashas boyfriends to get her. She comes running outside and she wearing high waist shorts and a black tanktop on and flip flops. me on the other hand I have on high waist shorts with my blue crop top and my knee high black boots.

We get to school and get our schedules and we meet up with lynn to look to see what classes we have together. I have english and art with lynn and Choir, history, and PE with Natosha. As I’m walking to my locker I here they guys whistled at me and calling me sexy. I glare at them and walk to my locker. So this year we got a new student and apparently hes my ex best friend Lacie ex-boyfriend and guess what his locker is right next to mine. “lynn I really hate this all the guys here are players and now just to add another to fucking mess with me. But this time it Lacies ex…” I look at her sadly because I am tired of the damn guys in our school trying to get with me. They aren't bad looking but they are all players so I want nothing to do with them. “Rose I know but your just going to have to suck it up this is our last year and we are going to make it the best year ever.” she looks behind me “ What are you looking at!” I look at lynn really confused and look behind me and its the new kid. For some reason I couldn’t take my eyes off him. I felt like a pull towards him. I closed my eyes and breathed and grab lynn and walked away. I had to get away I didn't know what was wrong with me why did I want to move closer to him I was so confused I walked into my first hour which was weights I waited for the teacher to unlock the locker room door so I could go change.

I change into my clothes which were a tank top and booty shorts. I walk out and the teacher says we need to run five laps and then go and do some free lifting. I run and realize I feel eyes on me but this felt different it was like I knew who it was when I finished and looked the new kid was on at the other end of the gym running his laps and he was watching me. I looked away and started working out.

Darrens Pov

The moment I walked in the new school I smelled something sweet. It smelled like lavender and strawberries. After I got my schedule and my locker stuff I went to find my locker and the lavender smell had gotten stronger. I looked over to the girl next to me when I heard her say “lynn I really hate this all the guys here are players and now just to add another one to fucking mess with me. But this time it Lacies ex…” I could tell she was talking about me… but how does she know about lacie.. I was confused and I was looking at her when I heard the other girl named lynn say “What are you looking at!” I look at her and just glared a little then the girl that smelled like lavender turned around and looked at me. The wolf in me howled mate… but I don't want a mate…

I have been hurt too many times. Plus theres a fact she may reject me. I saw her close her eyes and turn around and drag lynn away. I close my locker and head to my first class which was weights. I get dressed and go to the gym and tell the teacher who I was and she told me a little about what we do in this class. Most of the kids in the class have been taking it for the last four years so the teacher doesn't have to talk much to the students. I hear her say run your laps. I start running when I smell lavenders again I look around and about ten feet in front of me is the my mate. I can't believe how good she looks in those clothes… I need to stop thinking and look away but I can't and then she finishes and looks at me then looks away. She goes and starts putting weight on the bar. She plans on bench pressing by herself She has like a hundred and forty pounds on and is starting. For a girl as small as she is she can lift a lot. I had to look away and put my mind and body to work so I didn't go walking over to her.
