^Shawn by the school lockers

-The next day-

I thought about Shawn all night and how I was gonna tell him, maybe on the bus? at school? after school?

I hurried downstairs so see my mom on her laptop. she never has tie for that in the mornings so I walked up closer and she was on TINDER!!! WHAT?

"Mom!!!" I yelled "What are you doing?!"

"Honey, calm down. I need to talk to you," she's playing nice, I hate when she does that, "I feel like its time I start dating again."

IS SHE OUT OF HER MIND? I have no idea what she is thinking but I don't think dad would approve. of course he wouldn't.

I didn't even answer her, I just grabbed a Clif bar and headed out the door and texted Shawn.

Hey Shawn can we talk? Meet at my place ASAP! -T

It was good knowing Shawn had my back. I needed to tell him. EVERYTHING.

Shawn got here and I ran up to him and gave him a hug. I almost started to cry again but this time I held it back.

"Shawn... I like you, as more than a friend and I need some advice about my mom," I said it super fast so he didn't hear it correctly, "My mom, was on tinder this morning and she told me she wants to start dating again, i don't know about the idea. it seems, weird."

"Okay, uh, woah. first of all, I like you too. A lot. More than a friend kind of like," He said confidently, "and about your mom, i don't know what to do. sorry Tay."

"Wait, you do?" I asked frantically.

"Yes." He said with a smile.

I was so happy.

-At school-

I thought about Shawn all through the first two periods. and I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that he is leaving to pursue his dream.

At beak I was on my way to meet Ella Evie and Charlotte at Ella's locker and I bumped into Noah. I dropped my binder and my text book and he picked it up for me.

"Oh, uh sorry, my bad." Noah said nervously.

"Its fine, Noah. I was daydreaming." I said while he handed my books to me.

I started to walk away from Noah Clarke and his great style and then he called me back.

"Taylor, wait!" Noah called out "I know that we haven't talked in a while and I got a new phone so heres my new number," he handed me a slip of paper with his digits written on it, "maybe we can talk sometime?"

"Yeah, totally." I said with a smile and then walked away.

Of course, right when I start liking someone else, he gives me his number. Ugh!!

I caught up with the girls and told them about my incident with Noah Clarke. And then I told them about how Shawn and I like each other (I obviously told them its a secret), and as soon as I said it, Evie's face went red and her eyes started to water.

"Evie? You okay?"

"I-I don't know" she said as a tear rolled down her face and she rushed to the bathroom. Ella followed her but Charlotte stayed with me.
