Quick warning... there will be depressing subjects in this chapter...
_______________Michael's POV.
I stared at the bathroom door, tears forming into my eyes as I was processing what had just happened.Jeremy's words echoed in my mind as the room began to spin, making me dizzy by the moment.
'You're not good enough for him... he'll never love a looser like you... he said it himself!'
Tears streamed down my cheeks as my thoughts haunted me, making me shake as I stood in front of the mirror, noticing and silently pointing out each and every one of my flaws.
'Loser... that's all you'll ever be! Jeremy will never love you! How could you ever think that he'd return feelings for you?'
I let out an audible sob as I paced the room, stepping into the bathtub, and curling up into a ball.
As I quietly sobbed, I could hear "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" by Whitney Huston loudly playing, my heart breaking a bit more, as I couldn't laugh with my best friend about the drunk girl singing along.
I began to rock myself for what seemed like hours, until I heard a knock on the door.
It was calm, but sounded like there was a bit of panic hidden within it.
"J-just a m-minute!" I stutter out, clumsily getting up, making my way over to the sink, and splashing water on my face.
Once I finally look decent enough as to where it won't be obvious I was crying, I make my way to the door, my hand hovering over the knob and my breath quickening as I hear a voice on the other side.
"Michael... can I come in..?" The person says, sadness in their voice.
"J-J-Jeremy..? What do you want?!" I yell, tears forming in my eyes as I glare at the door.
"Please... just let me in!"
I step away from the door, eyes wide and tears forming again.
Falling to the floor, I curl up into a ball and start crying again.
Suddenly, I feel a hand on my shoulder, and then two arms wrapped around me, making me flinch.
"Michael... I am so so sorry... and I know, you're probably still going to be mad and you probably still hate me but..." Jeremy says as he places a hand on my chin, slowly lifting up my head, to reveal his shining, blue eyes staring back into my dull brown ones.
I stare into his eyes, remaining silent for a minute before speaking up.
"Sorry... you're sorry?! First you start ignoring me at school and then you start calling me things like a loser and then just leave me in here alone to go hook up with Brooke or whoever and I have no clue who anyone at this party is except you! And all you're going to say is SORRY?!? Twelve years... I've known you for TWELVE YEARS and you suddenly abandon me because you're 'not good enough' for me? I'm sick of it Jeremy! I knew you didn't care!" I yell, tears streaming down my hot cheeks.
Jeremy's face tinted red, tears now forming in his eyes too.
"M-Michael... please listen to me... it's the SQUIP! He's making me act this way!"
I glare, still crying. "Oh! So if he's making you ignore me, then why are you talking to me now then?"
"I ended up taking a few shots... that ended up turning into more than I meant. Alcohol messes him up, so right now I must be 'SQUIP free...'" he explained.
I stare into his eyes until I couldn't take it anymore, and I threw my arms around him and cried on his shoulder.
He rubbed my back and whispered soothing words into my ears until my breathing became steady and my crying slowed.
Once I was calm, Jeremy lifted my head up and stared into my eyes. I closed my eyes to keep my breathing steady and calm.
All of a sudden, out of no where, I felt a pair of soft lips smashed against mine. And before I could kiss back, Jeremy pulled away, a small smile on his face.
I was speechless, and confused about what had just happened.
I snapped out of my thoughts when Jeremy started giggling and spoke up, "are you okay Michael?"
"H-huh? O-oh me? Yeah I-I'm fine!" I stuttered out, staring I into his eyes.
He smiled, getting up, and grabbing my hand, pulling me up with him.
I suddenly got dragged out of the house, and out to my PT Cruiser, where Jeremy pulled out my keys, and started the car up.
I got into the car and Jeremy drove us away from the party and over to my house, grabbing his spare key out, and unlocking the door.
We went down to the basement and he turned on my gaming system, starting up AOTD and selecting level nine.
We spent the rest of the night playing the game until he paused the game and had me look into his eyes.
"Michael Mell, would you do me the honor of being my boyfriend?"
I smiled at those words, nodding rapidly, before being pulled into another kiss.
