You sat at your lunch table, dazing off into space. Your two best friends, Michael and Jared, were having an argument about lord knows what for the tenth time today which was starting to get annoying.
"How about you, (Y/N)?" Jeremy suddenly spoke, snapping you out of your trance.
"Sorry, what?" You said, looking at him.
"Oh so she's finally decided to pay attention, I see." Jared laughed. You glared at him, rolling your eyes.
"We were talking about crushes. Do you like anyone?" Jeremy repeated himself. You thought for a moment. Did you like anyone?
"Not that I can think of..." you spoke out, looking at the group. You glanced over to where Connor and Evan were sitting. They were holding hands. Evan's head on Connor's shoulder, Connor's chin on Evan's head. The fact that Connor seemed to be happier and Evan was a bit more confident made you smile.
Jared scoffed and confidently stated, "she's obviously bluffing." This caused you to snap your head over to him.
"Am I now?" You asked, small smirk forming on your face. He nodded his head.
*RING*
The bell obnoxiously went off, signaling that lunch is over. Standing up you looked at the group, "yeah, okay... Ima go to class now. Later." You spoke up and walked off.
Jeremy's P.O.V.
We all watched as (Y/N) walked off to catch up to Christine. Connor, Jared, Michael, Evan, and I all had a free period so we stayed in the cafeteria. Jared and Michael began to glare at each other which resulted in another argument between the two, causing the rest of the group to let out a loud groan of annoyance. Right now, it was hard to understand exactly what they were saying, though."Dude, she obviously likes me!" Jared yelled, causing everyone in the group to snap their heads over to him.
"No she doesn't! She likes me!" Michael shot back.
As they continued to argue like two year olds, I looked over to Connor and Evan. Connor must've noticed that I was staring, because he turned his head in my direction. For a moment, we just stared at each other until a small smirk formed on his face.
"Mell, Kleinman, since neither of you can seem to decide who (Y/N) likes more, why not have a competition to see?" Connor cut them both off. They looked at Connor, then back to each other. Nodding, Jared stuck his hand out confidently. Michael hesitated for a moment before taking his hand.
"May the best man win!"
*time SQUIP to the end of the period and the actual point of this story*
(Y/N) P.O.V.
You walked out of the classroom and made your way over to your locker. 'Thank heavens final period just ended.' You thought to yourself. Once you reached your locker, you opened it, put your items that you don't need in, and slammed the door shut to find an extremely confident Jared standing behind it, startling you."Oh, hey Jared. What's up?" You asked.
He smiled confidently. "Oh nothing, just wanted to give you this," he stated, handing you (favorite dessert).
You stared at him blankly for a moment, then the dessert, then back to him. "Okay, what do you want?" You asked impatiently.
"Aww, come on, can't I do something nice for a friend?"
You chucked, rolling your eyes. "Yeah right... seriously, what's the catch?"
"Nothing! Just take it. Think of it as a late Christmas gift!" He exclaimed, handing you the treat, hugging you, and walking away. Confused, you put the dessert into your bag and walked off, heading to play rehearsal. While walking to rehearsal, you went over your lines and weren't paying attention, causing you bumped into someone, making both of you fall.
"Sorry, oh... hey Michael!" You exclaimed, smiling at the tan boy.
"Oh, (Y/N), I was actually just looking for you!" He happily stated while going through his things to find something. A few minutes had passed and he was still looking.
"Okay... well I have to get to play rehearsal, so I'll see you later." You announced, getting up so you could leave.
"Wait!" He yelled, grabbing your arm. You looked over to him and he handed you a small deck of Pokémon cards.
(Ok if you don't like Pokémon then pretend for a minute. Okay? Okay.)
You looked at him, slightly confused, tilting your head slightly.
He smiled before running off, leaving you there to wonder.
Shrugging your shoulders, you looked at the deck of cards in your hand. Smiling, you put them into your bag before checking the time and heading to rehearsal.

So this has taken a very long time for me to update and I'm so sorry! The main reason I'm doing multiple parts is because I wanted to update something instead of making you wait forever. I've been very busy with theatre but the show is next week so I can update a lot more later. I also haven't edited so there may be some mistakes but yeah. Thank you so much for being patient and I really hope you enjoyed this chapter!
