Society has there way of telling us how to wear our clothes, wear our hair, and even wear our actions
It really sucks how society wants my personality to fit in a pair of size 6 jeans and a small shirt
(Nobody like bigger girls nowadays)
Why can't my personality fit in a size 15 jeans and a large shirt?
They want us to fit in with America's next top Model instead of our model
They've tried to tell us that our hair is supposed to be long and straight
Why can't my hair be kinky and curly?
They want our hair to flow through the wind instead of our curls standing  against the wind
Why do I have to do what is expected of me?
I can't be extraordinary?
Do I necessarily have to conform?
Maybe I want to blend in with the aliens that the government tries keep from us
Maybe I want to act out in an uncivilized manner
But then again, in this time what is civilized?
Oh, I get it uncivilized is my size 15 jeans and large shirt
Or could it be my kinky curly hair
Or it could be my slang-filled conversations amongst my fellow black brothers and sisters that aren't meant for everyone to understand
