Chapter Four- The Call

I follow Skyla up the stairs and knock quietly on her door.

"Skyla, You in there? Please let me in"

A few noises were made as if she was hiding something, putting something away in the drawers. She slowly opened the door. I walked in and lay next to her on her King-sized bed. We pull the duvet over us. Somehow the weather had changed from a hot sunny day to a gloomy cold rainy day and we hadn't noticed till now. 

We both lay there, Silently. After about 10 minutes I sat up and looked at her. 

"Are you alright Skyla?"

She looked back up at me, her red puffy eyes filled with tears once more. God, how could I have been so stupid! Of course she's not okay! Her Uncle had just died!

To my suprise she pushed the duvet off onto the ground and walked over to the drawers. She grabbed a key that was hidden in her jewelry box. She placed the key into the keyhole in her drawers. Ever so slowly she opened the drawers, revealling a photo journal.

"Me and my Uncle made this Last summer when he came to stay. It's got all our memories from that summer. He's my favorite uncle ever! I used to call him Uncle Gerr Bear as a joke and he'd call me Little Sky Tie. Here, take a look."

She handed me the neatly covered photo journal. The cover had a beautiful photo of her and her Uncle Gerry on the beach. They were sitting in a huge hole that I'm guessing they dug themselves. The had huge smiles on their faces. It looked like they were having a great time. I flipped through the journal while Skyla covered her face in makeup coering her red puffy eyes, making them look perfect again.

That was when I got the Call.....

"Hello Samantha. It's the Angel Department. You're needed to collect a soul from Earth and bring it too Heaven. The Address is 86 Fairview Drive, Downtown Georgia."

"Skyla, I got to go. I'm needed at.... Home"
