Prologue
My beautiful blonde hair flipped and swayed in the wind. I walked slowly to school, dreading what could happen in this day. A new girl was starting at Edgewood College. Moving here from a foriegn country. No one had been told where she come from, but that was beside the point. At this point I had caught up with my best friend, Scarlette. Her hair was pulled back into a perfect pony tail with it curled down, almost reaching her bum. Her lips were painted a deep red to match her outfit of the day, a maroon summer dress that flowed around her tan legs with black slip-on sandals. Her nails had been painted a light pinky-red colour. Some people thought of Scarlette as a little strange, but I know that she isn't. She just loves dark colours and the way they make her appear tanner than she is.
Unfortunately I had been picked to show the new girl around. Mr Kappel had said the school was big and crowded and a new girl like her would never be able to find her way around. The thing is, he had never said that to anyone else. None of us older students had ever had someone show us round. We did it all on our own and we were fine! So what was the difference with this girl?
