la la la la laa...
la la la la laa...He was falling, drifting away, nothing stopping him. Time seemed to stand still. It was too late, the body was falling, the life was ending. There was nothing he could do to help but stand there, petrified, soaked to the bone, the snow chilling him through his skin, as he watched the one he loved, the boy he cared for, plummet down towards his death.

Dan woke up, the thin beam of light slicing through the gap in the curtain and slithering across his face.
Another day he had to pull through somehow. Another day where he had to somehow deal with the inner torment, deal with the feeling of hopelessness he had, another day where had to try his very best not to fall away.
He rolls out of his bed rubbing the sleep out of his brown eyes, a headache throbbing in his skull, and walks over to his wardrobe where he looks at all of his dark clothing.
I disguise and I will lie
He ends up selecting a long sleeved black T-shirt, one that would hide his arms, and black skinny jeans. He had a reputation as the dark boy who no one talked to, who was shrouded in mystery and an aura of emptiness, after all.
He walks downstairs and was greeted by his younger sisters, Emma and Abby, who were twins, 10 years old, they barely remembered their mother who died 6 nearly 7 years ago on Christmas Eve. She was falling away, just like Dan is now.
Only she let herself collide with the ground instead of fighting to stay in the air, and Dan was so mad at her for that.
She left her daughters who were only 3 years old at the time, her husband, who now spends his days either lying on the sofa watching TV with a drink in his hand or at work as a car mechanic, and Dan, Dan who needed a rope to stop himself from falling too fast, Dan who was trying his best not to fall away.
"Dan! Did you have a good sleep?" Emma and Abby smile at him as he walks into the kitchen.
"Yeah, I did thank you." he managed to plaster a small smile onto his face, for them. Lie number one.
"Do you want any breakfast? Like uhhhhm toast? I learnt how to make toast yesterday!" Abby smiles proudly as Dan walks over to the tap with a glass filling it up with water, attempting to subdue his headache.
"It's fine, I was going to get breakfast on the way to school actually" He replies as he sips his water. Lie number two.
"Oh, well... do you want some toast when you get back?" She asks again smiling up at Dan who manages to smile back in return.
"I'd love some, but it should be me making it for you, not the other way round." he sighed as he poured the rest of his water down the sink, it not helping to clear his head, and rinses his cup before he places it on on drying rack" Anyway I gotta go school now, I love you both" he walks over to Abby and hugs her then does the same to Emma, then walks down towards the front door, pausing in front of the living room.
"Dad..?" He walkes into the room looking at his father, who was asleep still on the sofa. He walkes up to him slightly annoyed and shakes him awake. "Dad, you have to go to work, if you don't go to work then how are you going to get any money, if you don't have any money then how will we pay bills," he feels the anger coursing through his body like a drug, his voice raising. "and if you don't pay bills then how will we-" he stops as he notices Emma and Abby loitering in the hallway listening to him yelling at their dad.
