Chapter 2

Nicola' s POV

I was still sat beside Josh, and I hadn't noticed the time until the door of the hospital room creaked open and a the sweet nurse who had been looking after Josh since he was admitted in to the hospital came in.

"honey visiting hours ended an hour ago" she said softly

"Sorry" I mumbled, I began gathering my bags together and, started to put my coat on. I kissed Josh on the forehead and quietly left the room.

I looked at my watch and saw it was 10pm, I scrambled in my bag and grabbed my car keys and began to drive to our house. I hated being in the house alone but because Emily and George were in the process of moving, and they were the only people who lived near Josh and I, I was left alone in the house at night.   think that's why I spent so much time at the hospital, along with the fact that I loved Josh dearly.

I unlocked the front door and walked into our cold, empty house. I didn't feel like speaking to anyone, but just as I began walking upstairs the phone rang. It was Maeve. Maeve lives about 40 minutes away from me and Josh so I don't see her as much as I do the others, who practically live next door.

"How are you" Maeve asked

"I'm really lonely Maeve" I said and burst into tears

"Well you won't be for long, I'm coming over" Maeve replied and then hung up, and I was left alone again until she arrived.

Daisy's POV

Everyone is like ghosts since the incident with Josh. George and I were in the process of moving into a bigger house, but that's all gone wrong, since the accident. George feels guilty and thinks it should be him in hospital, and it will be both of them in hospital soon if George doesn't eat anything. He's becoming incredibly thin.

I'm sat upstairs on the bed, George's head resting on my shoulder, and he's softly crying on my shoulder. I've never seen George in such a state, normally he's happy and cheeky but he's hardly spoken, and is crying every day. Its hard because I feel the same, but I know if I break down we won't be able to cope at all, so I have to try and comfort George instead.

It's tough, but Josh is tough and I know he will pull through
