Chapter 5

Nicola's POV

I walked down the corridor as usual, my feet squeaking on the newly polished floor. As I began to open the door to Josh's room, I was stopped by a nurse.

"Ah Nicola, that room is now empty, Josh has been moved rooms" she informed me

She began to take me in the right direction for Josh's new room. Suddenly I felt pain strike my heart when I realised we were heading towards the Intensive Care Ward. The nurse stopped in front of the door and informed me that

"Josh had to be induced into a coma, it was for his own health, he was found with slight bleeding to the head"

I stopped, motionless in the corridor.

Daisy's POV

I was just about to leave the house to go shopping with George, eventually he was eating, and I wasn't worried that he was going to collapse, so we both decided that we should go shopping. Just as I was locking the front door I heard my mobile ring.

Quickly I answered, although I didn't know who it was from, as my phone showed an 'Unknown Number'

I always had a fear of Picking up 'unknown' phone calls, as the last time I picked up a call from an 'unknown' number, it was the police telling us what had happened with Josh, after he was taken away from us in the ambulance.

I often wake in the middle of the night, and think I hear a phone ringing, but then when I get back to sleep, I get a flashback to the incident with George and Josh, and It ends with me getting no sleep. I hate myself for everything that's happened, but I have to live with it now I guess.

'Is this Daisy' the person on the the other end of the phone asked

'Yes' I replied cautiously

'Could you come down to the hospital, your friend Nicola needs a friend with her, I'll explain in detail when you get here, if you can get here that it'

'Yes of course' I replied

'Thank-you' the girl said and hung up.

I told George that we had to go to the hospital and we began driving straight away. I was panicking the whole way thinking Daisy was now also in hospital, but when we got there, it wasn't Daisy who was in hospital, it was Josh, who's condition was getting worse....
