Chapter 4

Daisy's POV

I felt sick as soon as I saw George lying on the floor. He was pale and looked limp and like a rag doll. I rushed over and gently knelt to the floor. I gently placed his head on my lap, and soothingly ran my fingers through his hair. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and with trembling fingers I began to ring the non-emergency number, but just as I was about to hut the green call button, I heard a very faint cough...

I looked down and saw George's beautiful brown eyes flutter open and look at me. I began to cry, as I had never been so worried about someone, and suddenly it struck me how lonely and worried Nicola must be, knowing her boyfriend is currently fighting for his life in hospital. She certainty was partly putting on a brave face as, although cameras had died down, you never knew who may post a picture or article about your every move.

I gently kissed George on the foreheads, before picking him up as he was still incredibly weak, and laying him on the bed.

"George you need to eat something" I said sternly.

"I'm going to get you some toast" I said hoping he wouldn't argue, and that something would tempt him.

To my surprise, George softly replied with "okay, I'll try to eat something." And a few seconds later he added "for you Daisy'

For the rest of the afternoon I sat with George and tried to help him eat little amounts of food, to build up his strength. I think that was why he collapsed, as he had no strength, nor energy left. Everyone had been exhausted recently

Nicola's POV

It's now been three weeks since Josh was first admitted into the hospital. I've hated every day I've had to spend at the hospital but I've endured it for the sake of Josh. Never have I needed him more.

It was Tuesday morning and I was driving to the hospital once again to go visit Josh. I pulled into the hospital car park, grabbed my bag and hopped out of the car. I greeted the receptionist and to my surprise she smiled back happily at me. Normally she smiled sympathetically when I was visiting Josh, but not today...
