"Wake up in the morning

With the sunlight in my eyes,

No, my head don't feel so bright,

What the hell happened last night?"

~

I woke up with a banging headache. What the hell did I get up to last night? I remembered drinking....and that's about it really because I couldn't remember anything after that.

I looked around and realised that it wasn't my room. My room wasn't pink... It was Hayley's room.

But what was I doing in here?

I was shirtless and I only had my boxers on. Things were starting to get a little bit creepy. I couldn't remember a thing and I somehow ended up in Hayley's bedroom! I looked around for Hayley but she was nowhere to be found. Then I heard the shower running and realised she was in there.

A few minutes later she came out fully dressed with wet curly hair. She looked at me, shocked. As if she almost forgot I was still there. She stood there awkwardly and I stayed in her bed, not knowing what to do.

"You can go take a shower in this bathroom. I've borrowed Matt's stuff, I'm sure it'll fit. You look about the same size anyway." Hayley rambled, not even looking at me.

It seemed as though she was embarrassed about something and she couldn't bear to look at me. It got me wondering, 'had I done something wrong?'

I nodded and made my way into the bathroom while Hayley walked out of the room, shutting the door. I turned on the shower and I tried to remember last night's events.

Singing

Laughter

Hayley's beautiful eyes

Lights

A door

A room

Clothes everywhere

Sleep

I got out of Hayley's room fully dressed, still confused about everything. As I made my way downstairs, Matt was also walking towards the stairs. He looked at me, smirking.

"Quite a show last night, huh?"

I looked at him, confused.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't act dumb, Hemmings. I meant you and Hayley last night. It was actually quite hilarious but... rather disturbing." He ended with a sour face.

"Hayley's downstairs right?" I asked.
"My parents are out and I'm going out. So it's just you and Hayley. Don't do anything I wouldn't do! But then again you already did!" He winked.

I walked down to the kitchen and found Hayley putting two plates of pancakes on the table. She ushered me to sit down. During breakfast I tried to break the awkward silence between us but I didn't know what to say.

"Hayley..."

"Luke..."

"We need to talk..." We said at the same time.

We sat down in the living room, waiting for each other to speak.

"Do you remember anything about last night?" I finally asked.

"Nothing after leaving the fair... what about you?"

"Same..." I said.

"Do you remember us doing anything? I mean, how did we get home?" She asked.
