"So are you ready for the best night of your life?" Luke smirked.
I nodded nervously. I didn't know where we were going. I had only known Luke for a couple of weeks yet I let him take me somewhere in his car. For all I knew, he could be an axe murderer or something. But with Luke, it was like I trusted him. There was something about him that drew me closer, wanting to know more about him. Wanting to be closer to him.
Once he stopped the car, I saw that he had taken me to the fairground. It looked magical. I hadn't been in a fairground in ages but somehow this fairground seemed familiar.
"Have I been here before?" I asked myself.
"Funny, I've been asking myself the same thing..." Luke whispered.
I shook my head at that thought. This was the first time I had come to Australia, I couldn't have been here before. Yet, it seemed so familiar.
"I don't know why I even came here. I was just somehow drawn to this place..." Luke confessed.
As creepy as that sounded, I decided to look past that and make the most of things.
"Oh well! Now that we're here, we might as well enjoy ourselves!" I said to Luke cheerily, and dragged him towards the entrance.
I looked around and everything looked so inviting. The bright lights, the music, the atmosphere. I loved it.
"What do you want to do first?" Luke asked.
I grinned, "Roller coasters!"
I loved the roller coasters! The adrenalin rush was just mind blowing. I looked over at Luke and he looked a bit sick.
"Hey, Lukey! You okay?" I asked with concern.
"Yeah, I'm fine Hayles. Just feeling a bit queasy after all those rides." He replied.
I giggled, "Silly Lukey!"
He looked at me and smirked, "You didn't tell me you were a big fan of rollercoaters..."
"I guess I'm not those girls who scream at the top of their lungs and act like they're about to die!" I joked.
Luke chuckled and shook his head at me. I was actually getting to know Luke properly. He wasn't the shy boy I thought he was. I liked seeing a different side to him. A side I felt like I've known all my life.
He wasn't like Michael who was mysterious and flirty. With Luke, he didn't have to put an act on. I liked him just the way he was. He was genuine and himself all the time. There was no walls I had to break down and I felt comfortable with him.
"What do you wanna do now?" He asked me as I snapped out of my trance.
There was one thing on my mind that I wanted right now.
"Food!" I grinned.
Luke grinned back and led me towards the hot dog stand.
"Hey! Can I have two hot dogs with ketchup please?" I ordered.
I had guessed that Luke was a ketchup type of guy and by the look of his face, I guessed right.
I pulled him towards the tarot card readers. I looked at Luke and he shook his head.
"No no no! I don't believe in these voodoo stuff!"
"Luke! C'mon let's try it out!" I said.
"Aaah two souls that have been lost, have been reunited at last..." The tarot reader said mysteriously.
Luke snickered as I looked at the psychic weirdly.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
She looked at us knowingly and ushered us to sit down.
"Your names please?" She asked.
"Jack and Jill" Luke smirked.
I glared at Luke.
"I'm Hayley and he's Luke"
Luke pulled me towards him and whispered, "Why are you telling her our real names?! She could end up doing some voodoo shit on us!"
I laughed at him, "Calm down Luke!"
The dude was getting worked up for no reason. He dragged me away from the tarot lady just as she was saying something.
"You must search for the ring! An object of your past will help you remember!" The lady called after us.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah! We get it. The ring!" Luke said as he practically ran away from her, dragging me along.
"Luke! Why are you being so rude?" I asked, removing my arm from his hold.
Luke sighed, "That lady has been pestering me for as long as I can remember. To find Sammy and the ring. I have no idea what she's on about but she's followed me in every fairground I've been to."
I understood what he meant. It must have been frustrating for Luke to see this woman everywhere he went. I simply nodded at him.
"What do you wanna do now then, Hayles?" He asked.
"Urmm... I don't know... Let's be unpredictable!" I grinned.
*three hours later*
"Luuuuukeeeeyy you're sooo blurrry!! Hey! There's two Lukes!" I screeched.
There really was two Lukes! One... Two!! And they looked at me funny. I frowned at them.
"Haaayleeey!! Why is there four of you?" He whined.
I giggled at that thought. Was there really four of me? And how did we look?
We held each other's hands and walked towards our homes. I stumbled and Luke held my waist to keep me balanced. A car beeped at us and swore.
"Shaaaataaaaaap!!" We both shouted.
I giggled at our behaviour, knowing that we both had drunk a little too much alcohol and something else. But I couldn't put my finger on what else we took...
I turned to face Luke. I looked at him intently. He was really cute and he looked cuter up close. His eyes were really beautiful and his lips looked so soft.
"Beep! Beep!" I poked the tip of his nose.
"Beep! Beep! Lukey! You have a horn on your nose! Beep! Beep!"
After looking at me for a bit, he smiled and did the same to me.
"Hayles! So do you! Beep! Beep!"
*6am the next day*
I woke up with the most horrible headache.
What the hell happened last night?
I looked around and my room was a mess. There was someone else next to me. I pulled off the covers, revealing a very shirtless Luke Hemmings...
