It was the day. The day I was going to be meeting Arian for the first time, somewhere other than the bridge. The bridge became our sacred place, our little secret. I hope he feels a little calmer than I do right now.
Taking steps closer and closer to the closet, it becomes more and more real. My first time meeting a guy with no tension, no worries about what the consequences will be. It will be day light, he will see every flaw, there will be no blanket of the night sky to hide anything. Maybe he will love my flaws. Hell, I am excited for him to see, for someone to see them and for me to not be punished for allowing it.
I decided on something casual yet chic. Black trousers with a slit to show some leg, a red crop top paired with some white heeled booties and a sparkly diamond choker. If this isn't a head turner I have no idea what is. All I knew was I wanted to look good and to feel good. Not for just him, but for me too.
I took one more glance at the time, and walked out of my apartment and before I knew it I was parked outside of the restaurant. Taking out my phone whilst releasing the breathe I didn't even realise I was holding, I typed out a text to Arian letting him know I was outside. After pressing send, I stepped out and entered the restaurant. My eyes wandered the restaurant for Arian, and that was where i spotted him, leaning against the bar.
He was wearing a long sleeved white top that clung to his biceps, his trainers looked worn out but it suited him.
His hair was a chocolate brown, flowing in tiny curls. It was the first time I had seen his hair so detailed and long. I wondered if his eyes were lighter, if he had any type of birth mark or freckles on his face.
"Hello, are you waiting for someone?" A petite waitress asked snapping me out of my daze, whilst bringing Arians attention to me..and also the whole restaurants.
Our eyes locked for what felt like hours, before I realised him walking towards me.
"She was waiting for me"
"Oh, will it be just you two?"
"Yes, just us two"
"Okay Mr Romano, please follow me"
"Ladies first" Arian said as he placed his hand on the low of my back.
"Why thank you dear Sir" I replied, earning a dark husky chuckle in return.
We made our way to the table but the stares definitely didn't get past Arian.
"Do you always get this many people looking at you?"
"I don't really take notice, why is it bothering you?"
"Nope"
"Just proves im not the only one who thinks you're beautiful"
I was speechless, literally speechless. I hope he knows I'm currently screaming like a school girl inside.
We were escorted to a small circular table that carried a dimmed candle light dinner in a private section of the restaurant. It was decorated with the most beautiful bouquet of roses separating the 2 chairs. I had to resist smelling the roses, they looked freshly picked.
Even though all of this was beautiful, all I could think about was how he could afford a private section in a 5 star restaurant.
"Here you go sir, whenever you are ready, just call me"
"Thanks Michelle"
First name basis..he must come here often.
"Wow" I finally breathed out
"I was hoping you would like it"
"I love it, but how-"
"You're probably wondering how I could afford it right?"
I nodded since no words could escape my mouth, I could feel my cheeks burning. Thank god for my brown complexion.
"All in good time Ashal, but for the meanwhile..let's enjoy the food?"
"Oh god yes! I'm starving!" I said as I reached for the menus.
After a few minutes, we both had decided on baked dijon salmon. I hope it tastes as mouth watering as it sounds.
Whilst sitting here I had noticed small details about Arian.
He shakes his leg when he is in deep thought, he also furrows his brows. I noticed this when the table started wobbling as he read through the menu.
He has a small beauty mark on the top of his left eyebrow, it looks faded but still visible.
He smells of Acqua Di Gio aftershave, but of just the right amount.
I was cut of by the sound of the waitresses footsteps approaching closer, the scent of the food made my nostrils tingle and I couldn't contain the smile.
"Here you are, if you need anything else please just call"
She walks of to another table after laying out the mouth watering meal in front of us accompanied by 2 glasses of rose and the bottle.
"So, Arian, tell me about yourself"
"Well, what would you like to know?"
Gosh..where do I start?
"Let's start of with the basics?"
"Shoot"
"Hmm, how old are you?"
"23, you?"
"20, your getting old hey?" I joked, being reassured he isn't the serious type he replied cockily.
"3 more years and i'll be able to say the same to you"
"You're time to ask me something"
"Why do you always sit at the bridge at night?"
My eyes pierced open, I wasn't expecting such a forward question.
"Well I.."
