Later on in the night, at around 10:30, Jaehee went out to a nearby convenience store to buy a bit more dry cat food as she was running out. The cat food was quite heavy, as it was in two large bags that even someone as strong as Jaehee had trouble carrying. It wasn't helping that her arm was injured. The cut seemed to feel as if it were being torn into with Elizabeth's sharp claws all over again each time Jaehee moved her arm.
"Need some help?"
Jaehee turned around, seeing a figure walking over to her with a dark jeans and a black hoodie on, the hood covering their face. Jaehee tensed up, uneasy, her heart beating faster and faster. She couldn't muster up any words to speak. The figure chuckled, and judging by his deep voice and laugh it was definitely a male. "Here, let me help you." He reached out to her bags, and Jaehee pulled away. "N-No thank you, I've got them. Thank you for offering." Jaehee quickly stammered out as she headed for her car. She felt someone snatch her bags from her hands and she gasped, turning. She was about to say something to the man when he cut her off. "So... which ones your car?" He asked. He refused to make eye contact with her, but Jaehee could tell he had red eyes. He had white hair too, and reminded her of Zen, but he was much taller and skinnier, and his face was much rounder then Zen's. Not to mention his deep voice. Jaehee concluded that by his build and facial features he couldn't be much older then seventeen, despite the depth in his voice.
Jaehee wasn't someone to let her guard down, and she felt uneasy around the man. "I said that I could take them." She said in a stern tone. She reached for the bags and the man grabbed her arm. Jaehee was about to counter attack when the man brushed his thumb gently over the scar her boss's cat had left. "You own a pet?" He asked, looking up at her finally. He smiled. His smile reminded her of the Cheshire Cat, but it had a more perverted feel. "Or perhaps it's your friend... or boss's." Jaehee went pale and pulled away from the mans grasp. She tightened her sweater around her waist and she didn't dare give the man an answer.
Her shirt was very low cut, but the man didn't even stare once. Maybe he really was just trying to help with her groceries but wasn't good at small talk. "My car is over there." Jaehee finally said, pointing it out. The man nodded and went it the direction she had pointed. She followed close behind him, but he began to slow down so she was in front of him. Jaehee, for once glad her boss forced her to wear glasses, pretended as if they were dirty and cleaned them in the hanging sleeve of her sweater, pointing the lenses at one of the parking lot lights so it would glint and give her a reflection of the man. He was staring right into the lenses, and his eyes darkened.
"Nice try." He said. Jaehee quickly put the glasses back onto her face and quickened her pace. Since it was late there weren't many car in the parking lot, only three or four. Jaehee stopped at a car that wasn't hers. "I can make it from here, thank you." She said. The man looked around the parking lot, looked back at her, and smirked. He was very relaxed in all of his movements. "Alright." He gave up, handing her the bags. Jaehee instantly felt pain shoot up through her wrist as she took the bags back cautiously. Thanking the man once again, she began to walk towards her actual car, afraid to look back.
"Oh, and Jaehee?"
The man called out to her and Jaehee felt a shiver go up her spine as she turned. The man was still smiling at her, but then he tilted his head so his face was masked by his hood. Jaehee's heartbeat began to quicken. She never told the man her name.
