Jaehee was sent back to her office shortly after meeting Vince, seeing as Jumin had to show him around. She sometimes would hear the two walking down the halls as Jumin explained certain things to the new kid. Jaehee had to admit he seemed attractive, when it came to both his personality and his looks. She shook her head. Stop thinking about him like that Jaehee, this is just what you did with Mr. Han and he never turned out the way you thought he would either, so... She tapped her pen against her forehead and reread her notes.

When she first started working for C & R International, Jaehee had the biggest crush on her boss. She would try to get him to notice her but little by little she found that he was hard to please. She never experienced love before, as her childhood with her mom was a blur and the one she had with her aunt and uncle was a complete nightmare. She thought that if Jumin could like her, even just the smallest bit, she could feel love as others could feel love. But the more she acted like she was in love with him, the more her boss would shoo her away and keep her farther from him. Jaehee's crush faded away into nothing and she began to think less and less of her boss as time went on. Sure, she thought he was a powerful and smart person, but when it came to her having a relationship with the businessman it caused her to laugh. She felt ridiculous that she ever thought that of him and began to stop flirting and focus on work only. Her boss became just that — her boss. Another human being trapped in the cycle of society.

Jumin thought much more of Jaehee then what Jaehee did of him. He noticed her flirting and began to wonder if his close childhood friend Jihyun, better known as V, appointed him to a flirty assistant who just wanted money and unspeakable things from him. But as the year went by his assistant changed to the point where she stopped flirting whenever she walked into his office and instead just did her work properly. For some reason, it ticked him off that his assistant stopped flirting with him. To him it seemed like as if she felt as though she was better then him, too good to be with someone of his nature. "Assistant Kang," Jumin asked his assistant one day while she was filing some papers. "Mhmm?" She replied, silently counting numbers as her fingers flicked each page with rapid speed. "You're acting different." He said. Jaehee stopped counting the pages. "What do you mean?" She asked, her head cocked to the side. Jumin sighed, fixing the cuff of his sleeve. "I mean, you used to be... I don't know... you were-" "Desperate?" Jaehee asked with a smile. Jumin nodded. "Yeah. You were always wanting my attention." Jaehee shook her head, putting away the papers and gently pressing closed the filing cabinet. She started to nervously intertwine her fingers as a distraction. "I was... confused, I guess. Confused and naive. I was looking for attention. My childhood wasn't the best so I began to look for love in other places. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and became my... well, my obsession." Jaehee nervously pulled a piece of hair behind her ear. "I've realized my mistakes and I apologize for all those ridiculous things I did." She said, bowing slightly. Jumin smiled. "It's fine. You seemed more like a little sister, nagging me with such things." Jumin lied. Jaehee seemed less tense when he said that and even let out a small laugh. Jumin continued to go through his day, but for some reason he just couldn't get his assistant off his mind.

"Are you okay? Mr. Han?" Jumin shook his head, snapping back to reality. He turned to Vince who seemed kind of worried for him. "What?" Jumin asked, confused. "You blanked out for a second," Vince explained, looking relieved that his new boss was functioning again. "You were totally out of it." Jumin shook his head. "Thinking too much, I guess...." He trailed off. He'd never had a flashback before. Of course he would sometimes remember things from the past, but not to the extent where he would stop communicating to another person. This was new to him.
