8: What is lost can often be found again

Vincent Phantomhive had no idea why his life had come to this, running through the woods in an attempt to escape the ones that had captured him almost 10 years prior. As he leaned against a tree in an attempt to catch his breath he thought back on his life before the fire. When he had who he loved, when he still was alive.

Flashback

Vincent smiled fondly at the man beside him, he never thought the day would come. Rachael was out of the picture. the Earl had broken off their marriage after a particularly lengthy and tiring fight, yet he still smiled. It meant he could finally be beside the one he loved.

Nightmare looked up at his fiancee and smiled right back. 'What are you smiling at?" He asked the Earl, who only chuckled to himself and moved to wrap his arms around his waist. 

"Nothing, just how cute you are." He said. Chuckling when he saw Nightmare blush something fierce. Vincent just wrapped his arms tighter around his fiancee and kissed his shoulder. Finally he'd be able to be by the one he truly loved. If He couldn't have Nightmare, he'd give up on love entirely.

End of Flashback

Vincent didn't know he was crying until he felt the tears fall down his cheeks. Just the thought that Nightmare wouldn't forgive him for leaving had his heart screaming. He had longed to see Adrian and Nightmare for so long. He knew full well that he couldn't give up. But he also knew that he had to rest. So he went until he found a small clearing to set up camp.

When Adrian Claude and Nightmare reached the Manor again, they were greeted with the sight of a young man with snow white Hair and Golden eyes waiting for them. Claude brightened when he saw his old friend and went over to greet him. The Young man smiling and standing up to hug Claude. Once the two pulled away Claude went back over to Adrian just in time to hear him growl protectively. Claude wrapped an arm around his hybrids waist and smiled,

"Hey. It's ok. Adrian, i'd like you to meet my old friend Alciel. I helped him get back on his feet after he was exiled." He said. Nightmare chuckled and muttered the separation spell that caused a new person to be standing beside Adrian suddenly. He looked a lot like Alciel in the sense that he was more than likely an Angel. Adrian looked at the new person and smiled fondly.

"thanks Night. Claude, this is my friend Angelus. Malum's brother." He said. Claude nodded but paused when he noticed that Alciel and Angelus were oddly silent. He watched as Alciel slowly walked forward and tower of Angelus, yet still place a hand on his cheek.

"Angel?" Was all Alciel asked. that was all he had to. Angelus recognized him immediately, there were only three people he ever let call him by that name, Adrian, Malum and Alciel. Angelus blushed and leaned into the hand,

"I'm sorry. I didn't have a choice to leave." He said. Alciel smiled and kissed his Angel's head. Causing the other to blush like mad. Alciel just chuckled, glad to have his Angel back in his arms.

After the whole ordeal they all had gone inside and claude had no choice to return to his duties. He had been busy cleaning the front foyer when a knock sounded. Adrian looked up from where he had been sitting off to the side watching his boyfriend and looked at the door.

Claude pushed himself up off the floor and buttoned up his jacket and vest. Making himself look a little more presentable before heading for the door.

No one could have expected an exhausted Vincent Phantomhive to collapse into Claude's arms. The butler carrying him inside and Adrian's eyes widened. He yelled for Nightmare then rushed over to Vincent. Claude handing him off just as Nightmare came into the room. The twin stopped in his tracks as he saw his lover in his brothers arms.

"..... Vincent?"

Oh jesus I am fucking  this timeline up big time.

also please forgive me Gaby for not being able to write your characters for shit.
