"Everything happens for a reason"

"You don't think I know that Mikaela?"

"Sir, I just...I doubt you'll be able to let her go if it comes to it."

"You know what you must do if things get out of hand."

"Yes..of course, I do..."

"Good, now go. See if she's ready"

Mika bowed at her waist walking to Lizzie's room, letting out a slight sigh as she walks "what a pain this is going to be.." she mumbles to herself, coming up to the door not bothering to knock before entering.

"Elizabeth, let's go you're taking forever"

Lizzie, a girl with long flowing silver hair and blood red eyes stared out the window, bouncing where she stood. Barely able to contain her excitement. She had just turned 665 years old, though she didn't look a day over 17. She turned when she heard Mika's voice

"Mikaela! Is it time?! Are we leaving now!" Her eyes turned a light shade of pink, a tell tale sign she was more than happy.

Mika glanced to Lizzie's bag clutched in her palms, her long black nails ever so slightly poking her hands. Her eyes then moved to the floor.

Lizzie's room was atrocious. She hadn't cleaned it in at least a year. Clothing stuck out of the dresser drawers, her bed was never made, and her floor looked more like the aftermath of a tornado.

"I can't believe it's really happening! I'm finally going to the human world! Aren't you excited, Mika?" Lizzie grins as the words leave her lips, excited to finally get a first-hand experience on the legendary creatures.

"Excited? What are you stupid, those creatures are absolutely disgusting. The only reason I'm going with you in the first place is to keep a strict watch over you, understand? " the words that left Mika's lips were cold and she wore a look to match. She wasn't a stranger to the human world and quite frankly hated it with a passion.

Lizzie sighed "can you please just pretend like you're having fun?"

"Tsk" Mika lets out a slight click of the tongue before leaving to stand in the hall. Lizzie takes a deep breath taking a final glance around her messy home giving herself a reassuring nod and heads out to meet Mika and a whole new world.

Lizzie stood on the street corner looking up in amazement at all the new strange things that surround her. her now short wavy brown hair blowing ever so slightly in the spring breeze.

Mouth wide open Lizzie stares up at the buildings "are we gonna live in one of these, Mika??" she questions not able to take her now pale blue eyes off of them.

Lizzie not taking silence for an answer whips her head to face at Mika, who was looking less than thrilled leaning on a lamp post with her arms crossed.

"No, we're going to live in a box Elizebeth. Of course, we're going to live in an apartment, now stop acting like some wide eyed animal you're going to draw unnecessary attention to us, we are here to observe that's it. Understand" as Mika rambles on Lizzie had long since stopped paying attention and went to go investigate a girl playing the violin a few blocks over.

"Humans are cruel disgusting creatures and are less forgiving than we are I rather not have to kill any of them if not needed so don't go getting us into any trouble you damn imbecile " Mika glances over only to notice Lizzie's absence "what the -" a now annoyed Mika starts searching for where she wandered off to " Lizzie...? Elizabeth!" She shoves her way through a large crowd of humans growing gradually more irritated as she searches. Finally, her eyes fell to Lizzie's wide eyed stare as she watches the women playing the violin:

"There you are. What are you stupid?! Don't run off like that again Elizabeth!"

Lizzie laughed ignoring the comments Mika had just made, taking her attention off the instrument she salutes in a mocking tone "yes 'mom', Mika you need to lighten up a bit ok?" She lightly shoves Mika's arm to which she only glares back "so! Which place is ours!"
