Chapter 9: Jace

Hello readers, or viewers or whatever platform this is on. My buddy Wheeler was supposed the one telling the story but she is…. Unable…. to tell this chapter so I'll be doing telling you what happened.  ((What do you mean she's not in the closet? I don't care how she escaped through the vents, get her back!!!)) Sorry folks, apparently Airlene doesn't understand that this is my chapter. Anyways, before she gets back, on with the story.

“Ah Jace. You made me rip up my clothes.” Noah yelled.

“I didn't hear any complaints when you were riding my-”

“Just get me a shirt!” Noah yelled. Noah, unfortunately covered her chest with her jacket. I'll just leave it your imagination as to why I would rip Noah’s clothes. I knocked on the window connected from the kitchen to the back alley.

“What? Oh it's you Jace. You ripped up her clothes again?” Jeannette asked. Jeannette was like the mother figure for me and Noah. Only she lets us drink, bet on the fistfights, be in a fistfight, or “practice our math” in the alleyway, so long as we blame it on the bar next door. Jeannette owned “Splat-ghetti and Eyeballs”.

“Yup. How much for a shirt out of the lost in found?”

“25 bucks.”

“25 bucks? You can't be serious.”

“I'm kidding. It's 15 bucks.” Jeannette smiled and I pulled out my wallet, grumbling. I swear, Noah and Jeans are gonna bleed me dry one day. I gave her the money and she gave me a Fall Out Boy shirt. After she changed we went back in. We had fun for a few hours, enjoying our free food when we got an alert from Airlene.

“Damn Wheeler, why'd your does app notify us of clan trouble when we're doing something!?!” I complained.

“You say it like it's my fault the clans keep destroying the city.” Airlene adjusted her glasses.

“Can we just get this over with? I was about to beat the twins at Pac-Man” Danny argued.

“Were not”

“Were too”

“Were not”

“Were too”

“Can we just get going?!?!” Bianca snapped. We soon followed a bunch of. Shapeshifters further into the city when we found a large cave.

“So we're entering the chasm of complete and utter death?” Nikki added.

“Not really, chasms are more of an abyss or a canyon. This is more of a tunnel.” Wheeler acknowledged.

“Either way, let's go kill these so called Queen of Nightmares.” I smiled before walking in the tunnel. We keep hearing these bombing noises and crumbling, Celina shook a bit and walked behind Ash, ready to make him her human shield at any given moment. Suddenly there was a low growl.

“Do you guys hear that?” Noah stopped right in her tracks, forcing everybody to stop as well.

“I've must eaten Jeannette's burritos too fast.“ Danny replied, causing the girls to groan in disgust.

“I don't think that was you.” Noah said. She paused, listening to the noise then her eyes widen. “Run..” She echoed before running like hell. Celina shrugged before it became louder and louder. It sounded like large dogs, large dogs. Wolves, Nightmaren wolves. It didn’t take long for the others to react. I shadow dashed, B teleported, Nikki ran faster than the rest of them.

“Girl, why you fast?!” Danny asked.

Nikki charged forward. “I did parkour in Middle School.”

The wolves proceeded to run up to us.

“We'll never outrun them!”

“We don't have to. We just need to outrun Danny!”

“Hey!” Danny protested as he was the last one running.

“Enough of this b.s. Danny just electrocute these bitches!”

“I can't, the floor is soaked! I shock them, take us down with him!”

“Zayn, Celina, we need a wall! Evans help them out!” I yelled.

With that Evans formed a wall of water. It kept splashing and wreaked of seawater. Celina’s vines wrapped around the cold ice Zayn was forming. The Twins pressed their leathered backs against them as Celina concentrated on keeping the wall sturdy. The wolves keep howling as they tried to break down the door.

“The wall isn't gonna hold forever. When Celina loses her strength, the wall will crash down. What are we do?”

“Sakurai? Where's Kurayami?” Bianca questioned. My eyes widen. A blood curdling scream echoed through the Nightmaren caves. I pulled out my sword and Shadow Dashed. As I did, the others ushered and yelled for me to come back. I didn't care.

I just kept running, Nightmaren soldiers kept rushing at me. I decapitated, stabbed, slashed at them, anything to get them out of the way. I just kept running. When I got their I saw Amethyst’s throat slit. A large chunk was taken out. Amethyst was gonna die, the amount of blood loss made sure of that. Noah and I could finally be together.

However, this all changed as I took the next step. I could hear it. The flesh being ripped, the blood being splattered, staining the floor, the blade slicing through the skin. The pain was so unbearable, I was gonna break down and yet I wasn't the one who had a large blade inside my cchest
