chapter 18

Natsu's POV:

I took a deep breath, before I started to explain.

" I am the demon king END. Or Etherious Natsu Dragneel. About two to three months ago, one of your colleagues, Levy Mcgarden, came to my castle and locked me away inside the book of END."

Letting this small bit of information set in, I continued talking.

" Anyways, the curse Levy Mcgarden put on the book was that my soulmate had to open the book and then I would be set free."

" But she believed that a demon like me would never have a soulmate, because she thought no one could ever love a demon."

Glancing at the couple, I noticed them looking at each other in shock.

" Juvia is unsure if Juvia can believe that levy-chan could ever do something that cruel..."

" Yeah Fire breath, how can we be sure you're not lying?"

Grinning slightly, I leaned forward.

" It's your choice to believe what I say, but I don't really care what you think.  Now I'd like to finish explaining before Lucy's treatment is done, if that's alright."

Ice Girl and Juvia nodded and I began to explain again.

" Anyway, after a while inside that cursed book, I woke up in Lucy's house. Which could only mean one thing. Would anyone like to guess what that is?"

Ice Turd looked confused, while Juvia slowly raised her hand.

" Juvia thinks Lucy opened the book and released you. Which means Lucy is your soulmate."

Nodding, I smirked at... Gray? I honestly forgot his name.

" So Ice chick, how'd you score so smart when you're such a dumbass?"

Snarling, Frosty the snowman lunged forward, smashing his head against mine.

" Listen up Fire Bish. I got my girl because I'm a sexy, kind, charming person."

Looking at Juvia, we both sweat drop.

" Um, Gray... Don't you think that's a little much?", I asked.

Gray shook his head and glared at me.

" Anyway Ash for brains, about you're little secret. If you promise not to harm the guild or Lucy, I'm sure me and Juvia can keep your secret. Okay?" Gray stated as he held out his hand.

Nodding, I grabbed Gray's hand and shook it.

After releasing his hand, I saw the mayor walking towards us.

" Fairy Tail mages, I am extremely sorry for what happened to your friend. So I've decided to give you your reward and pay for your hospital fees."

The mayor handed us our reward and walked away.

Smiling, we thanked him and began to talk about random things, trying to pass the time before Lucy was all healed up.

* Time skip, two hours later*

Natsu's POV:

It's been two hours since they took Lucy in to be healed.

Gray and Juvia both fell asleep on each other's shoulders.

I was too worried to sleep.

Twiddling my thumbs, I was about to take a walk outside, when a small girl with blue hair walked up to me.

I noticed she was shaking slightly.

" Are you one of the people who were with Lucy?", The small girl asked, starting to shake even harder.

I nodded slightly.

" Well I just wanted to let you know that she awake and all patched up and ready to go home."

Grinning, I ran into her room and saw Lucy standing up and  looking at her outfit, which was covered in blood and had a huge hole in the stomach.

I ran up to Lucy and held her in my arms.

This felt right. Holding Lucy in my arms felt amazing. I never wanted to lose that feeling.

And that's when I started to cry.

I was catching up on some of my fanfictions.

Anyway, I'm sorry to say in a few days, you might not get an update except for once a week.

But I'll try to make it twice.

But that depends on how much homework I get...
