A few days later, I sat in my empty apartment waiting for Ender to get back into town.
"So, should I just wait until they come home to surprise him or go ahead and tell him?" I asked Lucy over lunch one day.
"Definitely surprise him! It will be much more special that way and you can see his reaction."
So here I was sitting in my empty apartment about to text Ender to tell him to meet me here.
C: Hey baby, I had to come to my apartment for something. You want to just meet me here and then we can go get some dinner?
E: Sure. We just got back. Can't wait for a 😘. I missed you.
C: I'll have a kiss waiting for you then ☺️ be careful.
E: 👍🏼
45 minutes later Ender knocked on my apartment door.
"It's open, come in!" I yelled.
"Baby, what did you have to get......whoah!" Ender stopped in his tracks when he saw the empty living room. "What's going on? Where is everything?"
He walked over and pulled me in for a hug, still surveying the room and trying to put the puzzle pieces together. I gave him a minute to see if he could figure it out.
"Does this mean what I think?"
I nodded my head, breaking out in a big grin.
"Surprise!"
Ender picked me up and spun me around in a circle before putting me back down. We walked through my apartment one last time, making sure nothing was left.
"Let's go home, baby girl."

Ender had ended up renting a small house not too far from Suntrust in the early part of the year after having a rough time with apartment neighbors the year before.
"So, I have some news." Ender told me as we sat in the living room later that night watching TV.
"Should I be nervous?"
"No, baby. My mom is coming to visit early July. "
"What?!" I shrieked. "Ender, I should have waited to move in, I've never even met your mother and she's going to come here to find some random girl living in your house that she doesn't know!"
"Calmaté mamá." Ender said, pulling me over lay on his chest. "My momma will love you. I have told her all about you. I have showed her a picture of you. She is excited to meet you."
